For the plumbos, the voice actor did one take and they animated it after, no joke, its honestly crazy.
According to the commentary on the last inter-dimensional tv episode, the writers pitch random ideas, and Roiland says "that's a stupid idea. I'm gonna go into the booth and act it out to prove how stupid it is". Then they animate the result. Apparently, after the 2 brothers sketch, he sent the animator the audio with the note "you guys figure it out". I assume he did the same thing with the plumbus.
Also some of them were his own ideas that he just randomly improvises during recordings. Also think he said he was drunk while doing many of these skits.

The way they do the improv commercials is they just let Justin get in a recording studio, he gets drunk and records random stuff that comes into his head. He then sends it to the animators where they have to try and piece all of justin's drunken rambling together into something coherent
Fun fact: when morty grows up he will look just like Jerry but with Rick's smarts. Oh god.

Love how you can so tell that many of the TV show skits are totally improvised by Justin Roiland. Just the way he says the lines it a total tell since you can hear hes thinking of and unsure of what to say next. Also heard in a interview that he was also drunk during many of them. But thats what makes them so funny and great.

Sadly, this isn't the first time I've heard people have intense, highly involved, well thought-out debates about robot dicks. Nor has this been the first time it has lasted longer than people typically talk about something as important as a cellphone contract.

I think the interdimensional cable skits get ad-libbed and then animated similar to an episode of for example Harmonquest.
They do I watched a interview with the voice for many of the shows character justin roiland who plays Rick and Morty and most of all the characters in the skits. He said that he would just go into the booth and improvise a bunch of them. Also said that for many of the recordings he was drunk while doing them.

There is a lot of thought put into it. It’s 100% improv which is a difficult thing for a lot of people including actors and voice actors. Saying it’s easy I’d say it’s just as hard if not more so in comparison to their complex story lines. It’s basically actual tv show shorts and improved commercials that keep you entertained. Stfu

Quick question now for those in the know, but will the Normies be continuing to watch 13 Reasons Why (to cancel Netflix)? As I really don't want even the name of that show to pop up in my sub box, I can just cancel subscription status until they've finished fluffing a show that misrepresents mental illness and glorifies teenage suicide. It's gross.
They're getting some flack for it in the comments of the video because some of them said the show was glorifying suicide.

Hell, I found 'Ballers' distasteful but not as offensive and objectionable as *that.* Add in that they somehkw feel it makes sense for there to be a season 2 and I am just out. Thanks for replying, btw, I know my comment is along the lines of a "do what I say or unsub" kinda thing, which even I don't really like making. But a second episode of that in my inbox is a better reason for me to just save the playlists of shows l like their reacts of and wait for the gross phase to pass.
