Hiii everyonee , im back! Here is my one year visual loc journey, which I've been meaning to post for AWHILE. My one year locd was great but filled with ups and downs. Throughout this video you'll not only see videos/photos of my one year locd/one year visual loc journey, but also hear about my personal growth and journey of loving my hair. From my first year locd, I learned that a "12 month loc transformation" isn't only about the locs, but also about developing a connection with the hair itself. I feel you with the different stages, the journey can get challenging but I think the confidence grows over time. I use to like the neat look for work but now I just stopped caring what people think which has made a huge difference
Exactly, especially for work. I’m still learning that to be honest, but it gets better everyday
Facts this a true statement because once my length started coming in I ain’t really trip about having my hair retwisted. I’ll hit 2 years in November and I’m loving my locs now

I also started my loc journey a year ago! I decided during quarantine cuz doing my hair everyday was a hastle. It's been an interesting journey and I relate to the feeling of wanting to hide your hair when it hasn't been retwisted in a while, but now that my hair looks like real locs I've gotten more comfortable. 😊

We have to shift the language we use to describe our essence in every manner. Words like, "unkept, put together, and presentable" must be retired from our vocabulary as black women. We are beautiful in all forms period.
Wow! This video is so similar to the one I’m about for post in a couple of weeks!!! I’m heading to loc my hair on the 14th and I’m super excited! I cut my hair completely off in 2018 and went thought a state of depression and have been struggling with my hair ever since so I’m ready to loc it NOW! 🥰 you’re loc journey is so beautiful

Okayy you’ll love locs then, and thank youuu💗I’d say I had minimal heat damage, I cut most of it out before getting my locs.
I'm still kinda in that stage to where I have to love my locs I'm 5 months it finally reached my neck but the frizz is so bothering to me
