    Your retrieve for the plastic worm works really well for me with a finesse jig, sleeper craw, and that yamamoto tanuki thing. If I fell something on the bottom like a piece of wood or rock or I'm on a chunky rock or rip rap bank, I just shake the bait in place a few time before I hop it over the object. A lot of times if a fish is there, it'll hit the bait as soon as I finish the little shake and hop over the object.

    Randy I think you'd enjoy fishin' around the Chesapeake Bay area. You'd be good at jigging for flounder and other saltwater fish. If you ever want to give it a try I'd love to show you around. The flounder and redfish seem to have come back in the last few days, it's going to be prime time here soon. We could make some different videos for your channel. Plus it would be cool to meet you.

    Well...I spoke a little soon...all good info but once u hook a good fish do u burn it in as fast as possible or just keep adequate pressure to land it?...once again...thanks for sharing ur knowledge!

      @dwightstephenson_fishing5150 Před 10 měsíci +1

      Keep pressure and let them play themselves out, most of the time. Horsing it in will generate more break offs.

      Thank you Dwight!...I'm rethinking my days fishing this week and the hook I had in the crawl bait wasn't right either letting them slip off, I will try and keep the pressure on...makes good sense!...and going to buy some better hooks today

      @dannyfinn556 Před 10 měsíci +1

      Just enough pressure to keep it hooked in open water. In cover pull it out on the hook set to clear the cover then just keep a hook in it. Don’t horse it.

      Keep the rod loaded is a good measure, in open water

    This is so strange, I fished Monday and Tuesday of this week and probably lost more then a dozen good fish that were hooked then got off, I was going to comment about if u have ever put out a video on how to reel in the fish...and here it is :)...thank U Randy!

    Off topic here , but Gerald swindle just did a poll on if the fans enjoyed watching livescope tournaments. CLEARLY we do not, 72% of those who commented DO NOT like it according to his poll.
