Excellent list, thank you so much for showing us the love! This album was a labour of love for us, and it means the world to us that other people are loving it too. ❤

Good list! Always happy to see post rock feature on lists like these. Some other great ones from this year are Night Verses - 'Every Sound has a Color in the Valley of Night' (which is a bit odd due to releasing in two halves, the first being back in September but technically only being released this May), an absolutely phenomenal mostly instrumental album, spectacular through and through.
Along with that, Bossk - '.4', Artificial Language - 'Distant Glow' (maybe cheating because it's an EP but oh well), Oh Hiroshima - 'All Things Shining', Alcest - 'Les Chants de l'Aurore', ERRA - 'CURE', and a handful from Windows 96 if you like vaporwave.
And then for upcoming ones that I'm really looking forward to, VOLA - 'Friends With a Phantom', Klone - 'The Unseen' (I'm sad that 'Meanwhile' from last year is so underrated lol), Boston Manor - 'Sundiver', possibly something new from The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die given the recent singles, and whatever Godspeed You! Black Emperor's new album will be. All very much on my watchlist!

I am really enjoying Tarot - 'Glimpse of the Dawn' released about 1 month ago. They are an Australian band inspired by classic 70's Hard Rock: Uriah Heep, Deep Purple and Rainbow. Lots of catchy riffs and Hammond Organ and a great singer! This is Tarot's second album

Great unexpected choices. Almost no regular prog stuff in the list, that's refreshing. I am struggling with putting known prog names on my lists too.

Interesting stuff here. Kyros, absolutely. Almo, however is way too close to Haken for comfort; very good, tho. For the moment, "Ilion" by Slift is on my top, along with In Vain, Borknagar, Darius (Swiss post-hardcore) and Mr Bison.

You made me buy Kyros - Mannequin. Good Albums came out during this year but if Pain of Salvation won't bring their new one this Year Kyros made my number one.

Interesting list and your taste in music because it flips in a crazy way through out your list. Thanks for sharing your list! A couple of these albums I do enjoy. I believe that Nimeton Hauta band is a late 2023 album but it sounds pretty cool. Cheers!
