I honestly wish DTG chose the Babylon branch over Long Beach Branch. The Babylon branch has such a good distance on the route, and it’s a fast route to operate on unlike the West Hempstead, Far Rockaway, and Long Beach.
Yeah I'm surprised they went with Long Beach especially with the bridge not even working and that slow 5 mph section but overall still pretty decent route other than the stupid dispatcher issues that have been occurring at Penn Station
@@GoldenTicket420Exactly, it’s also doesn’t make sense how DTG added Babylon services to the game, but most of the operators service ends at Jamaica, or Lynbrook. I would’ve even said “ok” if Dovetail Games said “alright since the Babylon branch is a little too long for us to develop, maybe we could end the service instead of Lynbrook, maybe at Seaford, or Massapequa Park, to give the players a little bit more, since we pricing the DLC at $40! for a short added Long Beach route and for some players , who probably already have the DLC, which is sorta inconvenient for our fans”. I wish that idea came up in the developers heads, because I had that LIRR DLC for two years and still being charged $40, for a M9(that doesn’t even exist in the 2017-2018 LIRR timeline in the game) and a Long Beach Branch, that doesn’t have a good enough distance, for it to be priced at $40.
Sometimes i wish that they chose the west hempstead branch and the far rock away branch over the long beach one.
@@Burgerswithtransit West Hempstead? For real? That would’ve been a horrible choice than DTG adding the Long Beach branch considering the fact how West Hempstead trains do not run as often compared to the other branches on the Montauk Branch. The reason for this is because the MTA is trying to avoid interlocking at the Valley Stream junction, to avoid West Hempstead trains interfering with the train traffic to Babylon and trains heading Penn Station About the Far Rockaway branch, I noticed on the map on LIRR commuter is how DTG added one station on the Far Rockaway Branch which is “Gibson”. If yall take a closer look at the LIRR commuter map. This had me thinking were DTG thinking the Far Rockaway Branch?🤔I guess we won’t know. But overall we have our opinions about LIRR branches, despite the struggles with the West Hempstead Branches, it has nice scenery like the Long Beach branch, but through the forest of Mother Nature, which is the only thing I do like about the branch to be honest. The reason why I wished for DTG to expand more on the Montauk , which I think was a “missed opportunity” was because the Montauk branch is known to being the secondary main line of the LIRR , but the difference is with all elevated stations of the secondary main line, like Freeport, Merrick, and Baldwin. I don’t want to explore to deep on the Montauk branch, because as fans of the LIRR we should already know what the Montauk line is about. So like I was saying about the Montauk branch, If DTG were to expand the LIRR main line to Hicksville, would it make sense to give the players, the same amount of distance considering how DTG is charging $40? It would’ve been perfect if DTG add the portion of the Babylon branch and had the service end for operators at the Massapequa station, considering that it has the same great distance of DTG’s previous LIRR line to Hicksville. This DLC could’ve even more worked well LIRR commuter, with the distance, and the scenery of lower Long Island. And another big A plus is how the MTA is having trains end and start service on the Babylon branch at the following stations Massapequa, Seaford, or Wantagh, as of 2024. Trains can either run local or express on the Babylon branch, which gives the player multiple options on LIRR services, overall making this branch a better choice than Long Beach branch.
