  • We joined Rob and Johannes from John Deere to talk about the NEW 8000 series SPFH. We learn how field research has aided the upgrade of the 8000 series from the previous generation. We also get a preview of the 30R header that has been out on demo throughout Ireland.

    GRASSMEN are the fast-paced, global agriculture phenomenon whose video content and merchandise are recognised worldwide. The business was started in 2009 by current director Gareth Gault, known to fans as ‘Donkey’. His love and passion for machinery allowed him to experiment with cameras and upload content to CZcams. To his surprise, a large following soon developed and the niche in the market for real-life, documentary, farming and machinery action made it possible to drive the brand forward.
    We at GRASSMEN, pride ourselves on providing an exclusive look into agricultural manufacturers, meeting real, working farmers, showing and demonstrating tractors and machinery through all seasons such as silage and slurry and ultimately educating and entertaining our fans.
    If you love all things agriculture from top manufacturers such as John Deere, Fendt, Massey Ferguson, JCB, Land Rover and many many more, come and join #teamgrassmen, we would love to have you!

      What Kubota? Their compact tractors are very good, not a big lover of their bigger ag machines. We had the M7153 on demo and it stank of Hyd oil every time a remote was used. we suspected a leak but apparently it’s common place on them.
      Not sure if anyone else has heard the same.
      FYI we run an outfit of 5 Fendt, 3 JD and a recently purchased Massey 8S.
      Looking to shift 2 Fendt at the end of this silage season as they are due back off their lease, we are 100% going for the Massey 8s to replace them. Much nicer tractors and the after sales service is rumoured to be much better (Herefordshire) oh and they are cheaper than the Fendt.
      But anyway I digress, Kubota are ok but not exactly world beating.

    what market share in Ireland does JD have compared to Claas?

    • @anthonyagri
      @anthonyagri Před 2 lety +1

      It depends, I would imagine when it comes to tractors it would be John Deere but when it comes to harvesters (foragers and combines)
      Claas would be number one.

      John Deere has been steadily creeping up and gaining on Claas this last few years.
