Mycobacterium tuberculosis can not be stained with Gram staining but with acid fast stains and therefore it is not Gram Positive rod.

It technically fits under GPB since it has a thick peptidoglycan layer. The Gram stain doesn't work on it effectively though and gives "ghost cells" which is why acid-fast stains are used instead

.Yep.. It's not gram positive.. It can neither be gram positive or gram negative and the cause is the thick layer of Mycolic Acid
