Good day Professor, Do you know of a method to encrypt files or folders that is available on W10 & W11 Home versions? This method is only available to W10 Pro & W11 Pro. Thank you
I know Professor that it has been 2 years since your post , but I have a question. Will this work on a network shared folder on a LAN? I want to share the folder to Everyone, but only users who know the password will be able to access it.
i have the same issue :( ... I've even used command prompt to force the value of it to be 0 which enables it but after i reboot it to save the change it reverts back to being disabled, im starting to thing windows pro is required

Axcrypt is a good product.

Yes it will. Simply add the users in the security and share permissions from the server.
When I get to the Advanced tab, I see that the encryption option is not available and greyed out. What to do?

I have the same issue. The reason is that you can only encrypt with Windows 11 Pro. So you can get software or pay the money for the pro upgrade.
Why is the damn "Encrypt contents to secure data" thing is not even available to me?? It's showing up but not available for me
It will only work if you are the admin for the folder. Take ownership first and try again.
This will only work with Windows Pro.
True story. Good tip.
What's the friking password for your encrypted file?
I'll never tell. Ok, it is password.
