A series of pro tips with mw07 plus. 1. Get foam tips that fit truly wireless. Improves the bass and seals the ear.
2. Go one size smaller than you think you need for fit wings. If they’re too big a number of problems occur. Your ANC and transparency mode won’t work. And you won’t have them in your ear in the right position, lowering bass and it hurts. If you have the right size they go in straight and you give them a turn til they stop.
This demo shows he either didn’t have the fit right or didn’t have them in his ears right. The instructions are pretty vague and it took me a month to figure this out. Now they have full, warm bass and great noise isolation and the ANC and pass through work right.

I have both the MW07s (not the updated model, but the sound and drivers are apparently the same, save for ANC) and the AirPods Pro, which I've now had for a week now. Sitting having coffee with time to kill so here's my mini-review of both. I bought the AirPods because of convenience - the instant connection, pocketable size etc - and assumed the sound would be much worse than the MW07s, which are audiophile's choice. I've compared them both extensively and didn't expect the results: Firstly, what's not mentioned in the video is that Apple have pulled off something technically remarkable here (as they repeatedly do). With all other 'in-ear' earbuds, you have to shove/force them into your ear canals to get a good seal, or risk losing the low frequencies. For me, to get the bass I like, i have to shove them in so far that it's very uncomfortable. Yet even then, if I try to run, they will fall out. This is the same for most of them. Apple have clearly set out to solve these problems, and they've succeeded. Just drop these AirPods in your ears and - if ANC is on (which it should be as it's incredible and doesn't seem to negatively impact sound quality at all) - you will hear them appear to move and make a seal with your ear canal. Frankly, this is weird and I don't understand how this is achieved. They can barely be IN my ear canal, yet they form a perfect seal. In the same position, my MW07s (and other in-ear offerings from Sony etc) would sound awful. So Apple have solved this major failing of in-ear earbuds by achieving their FULL frequency range (and LOUDER volume than in-ear counterparts) with a casual drop of the device into the ear. This, for me, it's a game changer and if I can get this amount of sound without forcing something into my ear canal, why would I ever go back! Aside from all the convenience and functionality advantages of the AirPods over non-Apple competitors, at the end of the day it's largely about the sound. I assumed I'd be making a huge compromise with the AirPods on this front. But to my considerable shock, the low frequencies of the AirPods and MW07s are the SAME. I've tested songs with ultra low frequencies and used the online frequency-tests and both earbuds lose their low frequency capabilities around 22hz. Both the AirPods and MW07s give rich, low bass that shake your inner-ears! However, the AirPods are louder so bass nuts (like me) will actually get bigger, deeper bass from the AirPods! THAT was something I did not expect. The highs are not the same though: close, but the MW07's have a little more high frequency (treble) around the 25khz upper end. This makes the sound crisper and more 'hifi' for the enthusiasts. Once EXTREMELY important thing is that iOS devices have a graphic equaliser in Settings/Music/EQ. Most people either don't know this exists or leave it switched off. If you want to make full use of the upper and lower frequency ranges of these high-end earbuds, you need to enable this function and widen the upper and lower frequency range your device puts out. The R&B setting gives the widest range of all the settings by boosting the frequencies below 25hz and above 15khz, effectively compensating for the human ear's failing at these extremes. Most users will therefore enjoy a major boost in sound quality by switching this on. However, it only seems to work when using the iOS music app; there seems to be no way to apply the EQ boost to the Spotify app, for example. In summarising, I would give the MW07s 90% in sound quality and AirPods 85%. In practicality, comfort and convenience, I would give the MW07s 40% and the AirPods 95%. I never could have guessed that my beloved MW07s would end up in my old-tech box under the cupboard. Apple does it again.
Agreed, I had MW07 GO (same as the + model) and now airpods pro. The airpods pro are just such a fantastic product and you can tell they’re ahead of the curve, the instant seal, the pairing, and the sound quality is far more natural to my ears. I cant see why anyone would buy the mw07 over them tbh

Very good review, precise and complete ! After buying Comply foam tips, I can easily say that the MW07 Plus have one of the better sound I’ve heard for in ear true wireless earbuds !

When I was younger I didn't really care about sound quality but as I get older and into my late 30's I find myself becoming more of an audiophile and really caring about quality audio with my music.
John Bibbs im 57 and live in England, my MW07 Plus took around 6 days but they were worth the wait, I only listen to flac or lossless recordings and they sound wonderful to me. I saw a review a while back about them not reacting to EQ very well and that’s the reason there’s no app to accompany them. Well I have the Onkyo HF player on my iPhone XS Max and I’ve used that through my earphones and they respond with precision and not a hint of distortion, with the EQ turned off they sound great but with a hint of EQ sound tighter and more precise. Believe me, give them a little time and they will reward you with a wonderful musicality you can’t beat.
i have been searching the internet but haven't really been finding any honest review. are they worth 300? (the looks alone are awesome but for the sound) I am still doubting to buy them.

Hi Aaron, did you experience any sibilance or harshness on the high-end frequency from the MW07 plus? I've heard a number of reviews mentioning that.
I like the airpods pros because they are comfortable and they produce a full sound. The master and dynamics were hurting my ears after a while.

Great review Aaron! I was just about to order M&D MW07 and you saved me from ordering it with your satisfyingly in dept review.
I have already purchased Sony WF1000mx3, AirPods Pro, Klipsch T5 and so far I didn't like sound and call quality of Sony, loved the style and sound of Klipsch but it has horrible call quality (other party can even hear my footsteps during call) and sticks out ear too much and slides out after some sweat or ear grease lol.
For my taste in terms of call quality Apple is best, and as sound quality Apple has decent result (I like base a lot, Apple is good but Klipsch delivers better)
So far only thing that I was curious about to how Master & Dynamics MW07 would hold up against AirPods Pro. I was mostly concerned about call quality and you proved me that Apple has the clarity that I am looking for. Thanks again!

Lost respect at saying the airpods pro have more bass .
I have both and have had a week to test the AirPods Pro's. I've also used the sonic tests on CZcams, which show the decreasing frequency for bass. To my shock, the low frequencies of the AirPods and MW07s are the SAME. See my separate side by side comparison comment above

Can you confirm that the volume level on the MW07 Plus is crap.
The volume levels are Bad the first day, but louder as the drivers break in over the next day or two - Also you HAVE TO try all the wings and tips. The sound QUALITY IS AMAZING and MUCH better than the Air-pods (if you are into the way music is SUPPOSED to sound that's why it doesn't have an app - though I wish it did) If you Like Bass like it's a Sub in your car the MW07 aren't the headphones for you - You'd be better off getting the Jabra 75t's or Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro's - They are Both MUCH better than Air-Pod Pro (Not Hating - Just Facts) I Have Them All
And to be honest the Sony wf1000-mx3 "SOUND" Better than All of them.

I've got recently the Sony and giving them back because amazon announced the discount two days later after they were delivered. And probably I can go for MW07... Or wait some month, till other manufacturers bring some new IEMs to the market...
@@jayjimbious9022 Actually after several more weeks I find myself listening to the Dynamics more than ALL of them including the Sony (But Keep in mind I listen to a Lot More Jazz than anything and No other Headphones sound better for Jazz) Here's how I use them - Jazz and when I'm in the mood to listen to music the way it's SUPPOSED to sound (no artificial tuning) the Dynamics - when I listen to Hip Hop or R&B and anything in between I Listen to the Sony they REALLY sound Great - When I travel I take my Soundcore because I can afford to loose them more than the others, but then are Just a Lil Below the Sony in Sound Stage and quality - I Gave my wife the Jabra 75t because I don't really care for the Donkey Bass like I use to (but they sound Great, but maybe I'm getting OLD 😢) Hope this helps

@@relaxwithastra5966 No I Didn't/Don't - I Find myself listening to MW07+ more than Anything I Have even the Sony, but keep in mind I Listen to a LOT of Jazz and The Super Tuned Bass doesn't fit Jazz and I'm REALLY starting to like Natural sounding Bass and I Have an Amp and Sub in my car 🤭
PS. When I do Listen to R&B or Hip Hop I Put the Sony On 😊
