I can not imagine waking up and finding out your wife and children were killed by a previously trusted friend. My heart goes out to him, and I hope he may he find peace somehow in the future.

In a single residence, eight individuals cohabited. Among them, the family that was victimized shared their living space with two unknown persons. This situation is a prime example of real estate exploitation. No worries the entire country is gradually turning into this scenario. 😢

At the Blaine border I was questioned by a customs child if my keychain pen knife was a switchblade.. yet a sihk gets a pass packing a ceremonial sword.
You can still carry a knife on you in Canada, there are no laws for the length of the blade. It must not be concealed and of an illegal nature. (Swithch blades, gravity knives, balasongs, etc.) I have for years, full tang, nine inch knife total length with a five inch blade.
But I digress, here comes another ban on an inanimate object.

It's a terrible thing and shouldn't happen to anyone, can't imagine the pain and suffering of those victims. Instead of focusing on punishing the suspect, we should focus more on improving mental health awareness and easy access to therapy and treatment for those struggling with mental health issues which is more prevalent nowadays. Then only we can prevent such incidents in the future. Based on the father's statement to a friend, the suspect seemed to have been suffering from a mental health problem including suicidal thoughts.
