The scale command means big salmon is no longer a bedrock exclusive, we can finally have big salmon in Java, this is the best update in years.

Imagine of Mojang "fixed" the fence hitbox. Then you could shoot arrows through it and, with this new command, walk under it or onto the horizontal part.
Funny thing about the command, you can walk in one pixel high or wide gaps, meaning across the top of chests with blocks above them or through the edge of honey blocks

He can spam click in Java 1.20.5 and that's the /attribute attack speed set 4 or higher in a datapack so he can spam click.

Making yourself smaller than a bee was funny as hell lol.
You should have also reduced your jump height. If you could only jump 1/2 a block high, carrying around slabs would have been essential.
But also reduced or turned off fall damage
a potion of change size would be so fun even if just to make a splash potion and mess with friends
One nice thing about Java is that you can put food in your off-hand to more quickly heal between swording, eating between the slower attacks.

Also pretty funny that you compared the large scale to the Mega Mushroom at the end, I was thinking that the small scale was like the Mini Mushroom, especially with the high jumps and fast speed.
Very fun video, and a great job to the assistant. My only issue is that you cut out the part where he found the first village, it felt a bit weird to me. But you're learning and that's great! Amazing luck to you!

Realized you could have put the safety barriers in the nether fortress lower than usual because you're so short, unless I'm missing something. But great run. Def we should have a slower walking speed as part of being smaller.

28:00 Perspective at scale actually works the same way in real life. A table might feel really big to a child, and yet really small to an adult. But an object that's much larger than either of them, or an object that is extremely far away, will not feel any different. The sun for example, looks to be the same size, regardless of how large you are, because it is 1,000 times the size of earth and multiple million miles away. Similarly, a tree or house also looks to be about the same size when its quite far away. This causes the strange effect that a young adult might think everything looks smaller up close, because they might be comparing the object to the perception they had of it when they were a child. Similarly, sitting down or lying down can make the world seem much, much larger, if you think of it from the perspective of a child at least.
16:20 actually, it's easier, since you can place blocks just 2 high instead of 3. In the case of the 3 high corridors, you can actually place blocks on the floor to block wither skeletons.
Toycat, I am an avid bedrock player not Java, but even I could see that you should have crafted a diamond axe, not a sword!
I hope they add the size command to bedrock!

I haven't tried it in a couple of years but /summon giant still worked in Java as late as like 1.13 and for all I know might still work.

Because of your scale, doesn't that mean you could run into 1 block high spaces making it impossible for enemies to get you then swipe at them from there? Just like when you use a 2 block high roof to escape endermen and wither skeletons?

You can light a portal with wood and lava in Java. You just have to put wood on either side of the portal so the fire lights through the portal. I find it works best if you place them at a diagonal. So you didn’t technically need flint and steel. Just for future Java adventures! ☺️
To balance this, you should do half damage. And food should drop twice as much
If you were to try this again, and to anyone else that wants to try this, I also recommend scaling down your speed and jump height accordingly, as well as giving yourself slow falling, since you're far too light to take fall damage. Place a couple command blocks in spawn to refresh the effects when you respawn too.
Totally should've reduced fall damage a ton because as a tiny creature you have less mass to surface area ratio, but great challenge nonetheless

The Java dragon is more similar to the Legacy Console dragon, I think.
This is great, would have loved to catch a full stream of this. Either way Toycat repeatedly dying and STILL refusing to build up proper armor which would have likely been faster is pretty typical :P
personally, I think you should have given yourself the SLOWNESS effect also. would've made it more realistic (i swear im not a heckler lol)

what if the size feature was about salmon getting big?
if you’re 0.1 times bigger, then you’re health, range, and jump height should also be 0.1 times greater. But sadly you can’t change the jump height.
Keep your Toycat tiny and you won't be as whiny.

Never before have I been so offended by something I completely agree with
one block reach, and half movement speed, and half jump height also. (need to make slabs to jump) and efficiency -5
(but enable cheats so you can add looting 50 and fortune on all possible items to make up for being small)
