Just got back from the carnival panorama. They are still using the key card method to open the state room door. First time using the app method, was awesome. But princess, on the other hand, allows the medallion and shipmates location. So far, we will be attending the princess crown on February 2023. Looking forward to another adventure. A good video but sorry I have gone on ship with the medallion and it in no way impressed me. I still prefer the old way of cruising. I know I am probably in the minority but it did not enhance my cruise experience. I am glad you enjoy it.
Not so sure about the part where the crew needs to look at their tablet or app as they approach you. Much prefer someone to look at you and say hi rather than to be looking at the phone.
Danny... FYI - The background music in the Atrium was too loud and distracting from your video. One idea, if I may, record the video when there is no music, in the background. Otherwise it was a very informative video... and I'm on a Princess ship, right now... the: Island Princess. Thanks, again!!
Keep in mind, this was one of the ships that was a Medallion Retrofit. But now I'm going to have to check what the new Discovery Princess has. - Taylor

I loved the medallion on our cruise on Enchanted Princess. Especially liked the opening of the door to our room as we approached.

I’m iffy about this. It can also be used for contact tracing so they can determine who to quarantine in case of some kind of outbreak.
Is there a way to text for free in the app? Princess used to offer this in their old app.
I have a special need to have a drink in my hand for 7-10 days for 16 hours a day. Is that a possibility?
Not compatible with Android. Pain in the butt. Should have option to check-in online, then pickup Medallion when boarding.
