This week is National Volunteer Week! Here at the Sacramento History Museum, we would like to thank all the hardworking volunteers who help us tell our history and build connections with the local community.
Our Docents and volunteers have an important role at the Museum in educating students on the history of Sacramento and the area's importance to the state, country, and rest of the world.
As a nonprofit we need donors to bring our school and public programs to fruition. Your donations help us tell your stories. Early Giving for Big Day of Giving is now underway and all early gifts count towards our overall goal of $15,000.

25 years - amazing dedication! Thanks, Jared - this was nice to get to meet some of the faces we don’t get see. I live 1,700 miles away from the museum and the chances of my ever getting there are slim to none at this point in time so I really enjoy your videos. Really depends where you are. In the US it's short for "museum docent".
In Europe it's mostly a teacher at university.
