This is my daily driver, although I drive an RHD Auto and it’s called a Vios where I’m from. Family got it from 2010, and since my parents retired now I take responsibility of it, until I can get a new car. Running for more than 12 years, this car has withstood the test of time with the rain, flood, minor off-roading and Uber trips it has been through.

Dang I been been driving a Yaris for over a year now, and didn't know that was supposed to be a cup holder at 3:16, thanks for the info, lol. The center cup holder is pretty far back so that's more convenient probably for a water bottle etc, have to give it a try today.

I like that there are MANUAL DIALS for the HVAC, Etc. I Hate with a BLINDING PASSION using a damned touch screen to control everything. I'd pay MORE for a car with PHYSICAL dials and buttons! Fun Fact: "the kids" could get a micro-FM transmitter for their phone (or "iPod") and play their music through the FM radio (of ANY car.) as to the rear view mirror "dimming", I had several Cadillacs that did that AUTOMATICALLY. Yeah, Us "boomers" were spoiled too, LOL.

When I was a kid, I was not allowed to try for my PA learner's permit WITHOUT being able to drive a manual, (My father was a heavy equipment operator, so there's THAT) Most of the cars I've owned (1978 to present) have been automatic (Buicks and Cadillacs), BUT all of my trucks have been "stick". As to the Yaris; These are what I recommend to ANYONE who wants a reliable, simple and CHEAP to buy car that's modern, but is NOT a "high tech" money pit down the road. Your'e gonna get Toyota quality in a package that's great on fuel AND on maintenance costs. RIGHT NOW we need MORE cars like this generation Yaris.

They just weren't that popular. I bought one of these sedans the last year they were offered (2011), but they kept the 3 and 5 door hatchbacks around after that . There were later 6 cylinder "Yaris's" that were made by Mazda, but these all Toyota 4 cylinder jobs are the true Yaris's. I still miss mine and wish it never got wrecked. So fun to drive and reliable.
