    okay dude. I`d say few things - I have no f.....g clue how Your channel didn`t grow. Your pure love for 40k is true to the bones. Second thing which in that case is more important. U have disected this game in less than 13 mins. U have got into everything which is most important in review so on point. And You got me into buying this game. Emperor Protects. And big cheers for cool review.

      Thank you very much for the kind words. I am glad you are enjoying the game, as it has a lot to offer. Especially now that it got some extra content added that was not available at the time of this review.

    good review, im having a lot of fun with this game so far, and it may be because im an artist, but i really liked the static cinematic artwork, its harder than an in game cinematic i think.. subscribed 😊

      Thank you for the sub, much appreciated! 😊Ease of cinematics depends on how are they done. Full blown cgi would take couple of people a lot of time to make, while drawing few pictures could be a job for single person. Then again... in-game cinematics like Warcraft 3 has - can be done easily with editor and few close ups/camera angles by anyone. I guess it all comes down how refined the end product is. Some drawings gets through a lot of people before considered to be finished.

      Species* Don't fall for the general linguistic manipulation inherent in all modern fiction. If you can naturally reproduce with it, even if the offspring is dysgenic, it's a race. If you can't, it's a species.

      Not yet unfortunately, but soon(TM) new faction should be showcased to us. Whether it will be just mp/tournament faction or will have its own story (it better) is to be seen.

    I agree that Tyranids are boring,but this game is a sequel to the novel "The Devastation of Baal". So the Tyranids have to be the enemy.

    I wouldn't necessarily attribute the lack of in-depth cutscenes to "laziness". This is not a big budget game. Black Labs isn't a very big study and the budget likely wasn't very high. Relic and Blizzard at the times of DOW and WC3 were big studios producing that were creating what at the time were big-budget games. While it's totally OK to want things like this in a game, it isn't always very fair to expect one studio to do the exact same thing as another. There is always context. Of course I don't know enough details about the creation of any of these games, but that's the exact same why I think it's unfair to cite "laziness" as the most likely factor. This is a Slitherine game after all.
    As a small note, the asynchronous multiplayer you were talking about is actually as old as time itself. It's called "play by email" (PBEM) because this originated from games where player would mail each other a save file whenever it was the others turn (and even before that with non electronic game where you would just use traditional mail). Paying chess and go through correspondence is a classic way to play with people over a long distance. You can play all Civilization games this way, or games like the Dominions series, Lazer Squad Nemesis, Frozen Synapse, Age of Wonders, Combat Mission etc. etc.

      @InquisitorKane  Před rokem

      Thank you for such a great reply!
      Sure, maybe budget was the issue or the devs just did not find it necessary. But even Adeptus Titanicus: Dominus - "game" made by 2 people, had at least some sort of mission intro with a little bit of animation and voice acting. So I believe Slitherine could do way better. Especially since everything is already in the game. While playing, you can zoom down yourself, therefore just doing that, panning camera a little bit around and adding voice overs - not a massive headache or extra funds requiring feature. And while I agree W3 or DoW had different budget at the time, nowadays making games is way cheaper and easier than ever before. Unless Slitherine themselves address this question, we can only wonder if they forgot about it, never thought of it or had some other reason why not to do it.
      I had no idea all those other games had asynchronous multiplayer. That is amazing news to me, and now I wonder why more strategic games have no such thing. I knew chess was played like this in the old days when people would send letters and as a P.S. note add their chess move. I think it was really cool. 😀

    • @InquisitorKane
      @InquisitorKane  Před 2 lety

      Definitely. Releasing a 40k game with not at least 4 main factions is a huge oversight. We are getting Nekrons patched in soon, but given they are bringing one faction a year, by the time this game will be alright, nobody will care anymore. Especially with TW:WH3, Darktide and Space Marine 2 coming up.

      @InquisitorKane  Před 2 lety +2

      Sure, you can get CoD for 80 bucks with 5h campaign :D But I see your point. Although give it a year. More units and factions are coming, multiplayer may be dead but new factions may revive it and that would also need some balancing so your issues hopefully will be resolved. ;)

      That depends. If the paid dlc introduces also a campaign alongside the new race and if priced properly... why not. I alao believe some units will be added for free but better ask the devs (which I am going to do). Also 20hrs of single player is a lit for this price.
