whoah! Hold on there! Can't bring facts into the picture to show how we have deliberately created a crisis of victimhood which produces more excuses to claim whitey is "way cist."
Only in modern social justice America can someone from another country force their way illegally into a situation they can then claim to be a poor oppressed victim of. And at the same time, refuse to leave the position of supposed victimhood, while garning endless sympathy and finally, resources from the country being acused of victimizing them, which are above and beyond what even legal citizens of that country are entitled to. But still a victim, nevertheless.

Undoubtedly Victor Davis has dedicated decades analyzing the issue of illegal immigration into the U.S. After watching this highlight video, it led me to the realization that illegal immigration is much less about cheap labor, self-interest, and the profit motive and a lot more to do with both the ethical and behavioral consequences it implies. Victor Davis describes the very real social phenomenon where the "first generation" Mexican worker(s) 18-19 years old working construction and agriculture are some of the "hardest worker in the world." Victor Davis contrasts this fact to the normal and to be expected "aging process" that's taking place. He discusses how in the course of performing their jobs, illegal migrants are seen getting injured on the job, may gain weight, may become ill, but their respective employers "aren't obligated" to take care of them and subsequently become ward of the state. Victor Davis discusses the children of illegal migrants who have never been to Mexico, don't speak Spanish, and yet they haven't "been given the tools to compete in a very competitive America" become embittered when realizing the fate of their parents. Mr. Hanson views this reality as incorporating of "a cynicism involved about recycling human capital." Mr. Hanson taps into our American sense of conscience and accountability by stating "there's something going on ethically, psychologically, morally, or socially that says to Americans you don't have to do that type of work-somebody else will do that for you at a cheaper rate......there's been a difference in the attitude and respect for hard work." During the Q&A portion of the video Mr. Hanson retorts in response to illegal flow of migrant groups by stating that "while you see this as something that's logical and works for the economic benefit of the United States, other people would disagree with you because they would see entirely different results from it-in other words they would see a massive influx of people from Mexico, a constituency that would have historical grievances against the United States, might not assimilate, would have claims of a separate language, and would demand collective and group representation, i.e. they wouldn't want a different type of state." To my dismay this truthful and well understood statement by Mr. Hason was met by disbelieve when the other guess replied that most illegal Mexican migrants just want to work hard, provide for their families and get ahead. Now I know that this response does acknowledge the immediate concerns of illegal migrants, but we can't be entirely dismissive of the very real function and role that attitudes and opinions play in human future behavior. Just as well attitudes and opinions are always taught, they have universal implications across different groups of people, and always influences peoples' behaviors. A good analogy to illustrate the significance of taught attitudes and opinions would be to liken it to a recesive gene. Just like a recesive gene it isn't much of a concern to us nor does it threaten our lives so long as it remains dormant. However, as soon as it is activated it all of the sudden takes precedence, can change your life forever, and can even end your life prematurely. All human groups teach attitudes and opinions to their members and this fact inevitably influences their behavior towards other people. When and how people start behaving towards other people according to the attitudes and opinions they have been taught only depends on the moment they become activated at which time these attitudes and opinions take precedence. Long held grievances, territorial claims, group representation, claiming foreign language, not wanting to assimilate, etc., can all be viewed as attitudes and opinions that are taught and are just waiting to take precedence when we least expected. ReneB, Florida.

there was a comprehensive study that showed prior to tightening the border (decades ago), 80+% of the immigrants went back home each year. They had been employed as seasonal laborers, so they came for the work (that u.s. citizens won't do) and then returned. when we closed the borders, they stayed, because it would be too hard to re-cross. How a govt policy had the opposite of the intended effect.

There is a program in place for migrant workers and has been operating with problems for decades. Most migrant workers under this program go back and forth legally with no problems. There are thousands of residences here in the Rio Grande Valley where many leave vehicles and clothing and such. They are a welcome in the community and have there own culture. Yes, there are abuses on both sides but it is a workable solution.

I really want to know why Mayorkas is so dedicated to illegal immigration. If it’s so there will potentially be more Democrats to vote Democrat, please tell me that. That would make sense from the Democratic point of view. What the hell is the real reason?
