- The rain has arrived. It was long, sloppy day out on the bikes for practice today. 7 hours out in the rain and pedalling through mud. Good thing the tracks hold up to the water well here!

That rocky section was more like you would find on a Downhill course. You guys certainly work hard!
Looks not too dissimilar to a lot of the enduro stuff in the Squamish/Whistler/Vancouver region.
yea it was tech! Fun though
@@downhillupside That was my thought. Derby in March looks like Squamish in October
Bit of an easterly system early mid week, looks like it will clear up for the race. They tend to hang around and create light, steady rainy conditions for a few days in a row. Derby drains well given its soils and the granite. Good luck for the race, mate!
Yep!
I hope so! I want it to be fast! Even if the mud conditions are fun
ghoulman51 for premier!!1
That on off section was mad. Looking dialled as always Jesse!
Thanks!
Great to watch both you and kev ride
looks gross out there! Nice sneaky line tip from party boy! have a solid weekend Jesse!
Yup a good little tip! Think. I nailed it.
Again another great video, Thank you!! You señor Jesse have the best ability to keep the lens clean 👏
I do it for you guys, to make sure you are seeing the best quality.
Aside from the camera lens, do you find it difficult to keep your goggles from getting fogged up when it’s so wet and humid and you’re doing a bit of hiking during practice? Any tips?
insane line
ye
Looks wild jesse, it's very hard to find the right feeling in these conditions.... keep going man 💪💪💪
Thanks! Will do!
If the weather stays wet, this will be the first wet race in a while. It will be tricky for sure to not make too many mistakes. The wetness looks extra tiring too on the flatter sections. Good luck!
Jessie, why X0 aloy cranks are your choice, instead of carbon xx? Thanks!
Jesse, Do you know and can you share what Headset you are using on the Spectral ? The top cover doesn't look like the OEM plastic setup... Thanks
Hope that the weather clears up for race day.
Me too1
The rock Lilly pad was too sick! 2.5 DHR II up front?
Dude, what settings do you run on your gopro? it always looks sooo good!
Secret ones :)
wild track
yup!
Looks wild out there! whats the bike computer you have?
Stages Cycling Dash
What's going on with the top cap on your forks airspring? Are you running something aftermarket in there or is it just a custom topcap?
IT's for my telemetry setup when I run it.
What cycle computer is that?
Bonjour votre pilotage est tout simplement magnifique s'il vous plaît quelles sont les pneus que vous utilisez dans ces conditions ? En faisant arrêt sur image j'ai vu maxxis test pilote mais ça s'approcherait de quel pneu svp?
oui
Well that was a stressful watch
haha it was a stressful ride
Why is You Tube's playback quality so bad on POV videos?? (even with great connection speeds & HD on)
Maybe the high res just hadn't uplloaded yet?
Is so crazy how do you ride on this wet rocks
They are actually pretty grippy
Won't you use a Strive this year, Jesse?
yes!
best conditions to ride gnarly rocks 🤦🤣
haha, at least these ones are kind of grippy
Hi, what are your gopro settings? Is it 1080 or 4K etc?
Thank you
4k right now.
@@JesseMelamedMTB Ok nice! What FPS is it? Just curious. :)
That was a rough day at the office, from the looks of it
It wasn't the easiest that's for sure
👍
:)
That race just seems like speed is not what it's about completely, more technical good choices and grabbing speed where can
Exactly, need to carry the speed
In the race; oxygen deprivation, lactic acid build up, vision tunnelling.
Yeah, can’t wait to hit that line at the 2 mins mark. 😅 The riding at this level is stupidly good.
hahaha yup
Gnarly
