    I’d say there’s a 0.1% chance Peugeot or the teams shared any CAD files, drawings etc for this car. For VRC to replicate this car, down to the tiniest details so perfectly from pictures and videos is unreal. Nobody does it better.

    The Peugeot easily surpasses anything else I've ever driven in a sim let alone AC. Visually, physically, and functionally, this car is a masterpiece. Bump starting out of the Le Mans pits is just so immersive. Not even the iRacing LMDhs hold a flame to this. I know the Ferrari is next, but I really hope they come out with a Cadillac for that glorious V8 bump start.

    The holes over the tyres are to release air pressure from around the wheel in the wheel arch. This is to help stop the car lifting up at the front and causing airbourne crashes. They was introduced in prototype cars around 2011/2012.
    Apparently Peugeot will release their next prototype with a "proper" wing.
    Keep up the great content you produce.

      It definitely has a wing, it was awful around bumpy tracks where it couldn't keep that nice tight airflow under the car.

    • @flyingphoenix113
      @flyingphoenix113 Před 8 měsíci +12

      Actually front wheel arch pressure ventilators (the technical term from back in the day) were introduced all the way back in the late 60s. The Dodge Daytona and Plymouth Superbird had them in '69 and '70. If you ask a boomer why they're there, they will usually tell you the tired myth that the Daytona and Superbird "made so much downforce that the tires rubbed on the top of the inside wheel arch." Nobody except Chrylser's aerodynamicists understood it at the time, but it is purely to reduce the accumulation of lift (via turbulent air) in the front wheel arch.

    • @RDMracer
      @RDMracer Před 8 měsíci

      Not just introduce, I think that they became mandatory to reduce the chance of a car flipping over during a crash.

      @@jonredcorn862 It was more about the sudden BoP and change of rules that made the car not as good from what I've heard, and not having a rear wing didn't let them change the car settings the way they wanted to. Having a rear wing will let them change the incidence of the wing and let them balance it correctly

    BOP minimum speed refers to the minimum speed at which you can use the MGUK because that’s a real life part of the WEC regulations. Depending on certain factors there are specific speeds where if under that you cannot use MGUK power if in an LMH car like this. (The LMDh cars in WEC do not fall under this rule as their hybrid systems are different)
    Also maximum stint energy refers to another regulation in WEC in order to keep the cars balanced. 👍😃

I was wondering why AMS2’s AI was so much worse than AMS1’s, and why Reiza didn’t just copy and paste their work from a previous title. My recollection is that the AI is partly shaped around the physics and what the opponent cars should be capable of, so it wouldn’t work to port the AI behaviour unless the physics were identical.

      $1.99 sounds a lot more reasonable, maybe even a tad bit below that. I think one reason why the sim racing scene is not blowing up in the U.S. it's because how over priced everything is.. @Saabjock I'm not whatsoever. There are many developers out here designing cars on AC and giving them out for free. Similar to me, I design sim rigs before someone makes their purchase, and I acrually put the time and effort to help them without them paying me 1 penny. Why do you do that, you ask? It's because I'm doing it for the sim racing community. But greed is out there, and charging $5+ for one car is insane. Like I said before, I know many of you won't agree, keep spending your hard earned money on these people. Eventually, these cars will hit over $20 and only then, people will realize... wait.. we've been duped.
