    You see Sydney now is so dead if u compare it to the 80s n 90s n so draconian the police have nothing at all better to do than pull up ppl on there skate boards lol haha no im sorry but wat a pathetic city Sydney has turned into, Oh man only if u new n how Sydney was compared to now, wat a boring nanny city if iv ever seen one. 'Bring back the 90s anyday, at least. The Olympics in 2000 was the start of the end for a grouse city.like Sydney nsw 'i sadly dont even recognize the place n no im not talking about the building but rather the atmosphere n thats just to start wit.

    well I guess the police could start with " do you have a mobility device permit for that?" and go from there instead of just assuming the worst, which is most cases let's be fair, buy would be still the right way about it.

    You are riding down the tram line which is dangerous and a risk to the drivers of the trams .I e skate in the city and use the dedicated bike lanes where possible .Also mobility devices are speed limited to 10kn/h and avoid high pedestrians traffic areas like Pitt St Mall and George St as much as possible.
    Even with an exemption be prepared to be pulled over by the cops don't argue with them and show them your paperwork and they will let you go about your business

    • @Esk8sta
      @Esk8sta  Před 5 měsíci

      Mate all bicyclists use the tram line on George st and never get pulled over because there is no dedicated bike path on George st and it’s much safer for pedestrians that way I get pulled over most on footpaths when doing under 10 and get told it dangerous for pedestrians until they read my certificate, I do see your point but it is the best was to get through George st when I do need to go down it, and yes I do use bike paths when available it’s much better. Hopefully one day I bump into ya and you can join me for a skate

      @@Esk8sta I see them regularly pull over food delivery riders on electric bikes if they are riding down the tram line , I ride a Stoke so probably more stealth than a Longboard with pneumatic tires .
      The middle of the tramway is not a safe place to ride especially on a eskate what happens if you fall off and a 2 tonne tram is coming down the track .Do us all a favour please .

      @Esk8sta honestly, noting what was said by their 9/10 cases and you drawing attention to yourself zipping up and down the tram space, is it not expected for people them to be attentive?
      Like its no different to me having a highly modified car and being upset I draw their attention. It's a risk I own by participating in the activity. I don't see that being any different for you.

    • @Esk8sta
      @Esk8sta  Před 5 měsíci +1

      I wasn’t zipping down I was going barley 15k which is a slow jogging pace and he was just looking for any excuse after being wrong, all the bicycles use the line because of safety of pedestrians on George st, and I never see a bicycle pulled over and this happens to me sometimes on multiple occasions in a day no matter where I ride most times I get stopped is on footpaths and then the excuse is it’s dangerous for pedestrians until I show my certificate,even though I ride at now more than brisk walking pace on paths, I do see your point though on how it looks

    You should make a complaint. Maybe even contact a lawyer, I would think that once you made them aware of your disability they would have to have reasonable suspicion that you aren't disabled to lawfully be able to request your ID and detain you for their investigation.
    At the very least try if you cause a fuss about it they might put a memo out to educate the officers a bit more

      @@Esk8sta yeah I'm Aussie, I doubt you could sue based on this interaction but it's worth contacting a one of those no settlement no fee lawyers, if they continue to repeatedly stop you after official complaints have been made it could be considered harassment.

    No body can ride this or that anything and everything. Nearly every normal thing we did as kids is now against the law. So for kids today if every normal thing they want to do comes with punnishment why not just kick in doors and smash heads they are in trouble anyway no matter what they do. Police need to use their discretion better. Let the kids have fun. Politicians need to stop thinking about revenue and take time to think about what people want to enjoy without acting like NAZIS passing draconian style laws. FFS. Let us be Aussies again. 🙏
