Do you ever stop to think that it's the politicians in power that make you feel that way? I voted for Trump. I'm not an animal. I bet we'd get along. I barely care about politics all that much. I go to work, have friends, take care of my family, go to concerts, get embarrassed sometimes, get sad sometimes, etc. Same as you. Our politics don't matter but if you wanna hate on me for having voted for Trump go ahead.

I love that Seth is just having such a blast these days. Everything is terrible, the world is burning and everyone in congress is a moron but at least we have Seth Meyers.
It's become the best show in late night because Seth is clearly comfortable with it now - it had a rocky start at the beginning, but the fact that he has an air of not really taking it seriously and seems like he genuinely enjoys it and is having fun just makes it so much more entertaining to watch. And getting the staff involved over the pandemic and embracing the cheesyness just amplifies that like a hundred times.
@@KingBobXVI For me, I don't remember it taking that long for him to adapt. Truth be told, I am Team Sea Captain, but I admit that Seth went next level with the glorious insanity when he went back to the studio.

@@gawthic1 - oh, I mean the beginning of the show in general, like when he was still doing standing monologues. It was fine right before Covid, but during the "from home" segments I feel like he really got comfortable with the more casual and relaxed format.

Seth has been hitting his stride all year. I love all the goofy self-effacing comedy. The playing off of jokes that are niche along with the reinduction of the audience into the madness and how self conscious Seth now seems in front of them. Its all been quite comedy gold this year.
