- It was yet another tough loss for the Georgia Bulldogs to their growing rivals in the west, Alabama. A 41-24 final score demonstrated that despite all their efforts, the Bulldogs still find themselves behind the juggernaut from Tuscaloosa that Nick Saban keeps reloading year after year. Things start to get desperate in the Georgia recruiting lab as staff members present Kirby Smart with an all new virtual head coach option. He soon finds out that it does not work as advertised.

@@dclark142002 I didn't know UCF claims 2 SEC championships. Btw, "claimed" may not be entirely accurate. Back when Bama "claimed" those championships there wasn't an official NCAA Champion crowned. People always just looked at the AP poll and decided that was the deciding factor. However, other outlets would also crown a National Champion every year. Sometimes it didn't match the AP. There are several other "championships" from that era other schools were given. It's far too much a grey area and I'm glad they stopped it.

Idea for an SEC Short. Flashback to the 1983. A young boy who is a Georgia, Braves, and Falcons fan (perhaps a young "Uncle Lou" of CZcams lore) is celebrating and insults a lady who turns out to be a witch. She pronounces a curse on his favorite teams saying, "and it shall be the worst kind of curse. Your teams won't be terrible. Instead, they will get to the cusp of the title and you'll think there's no way they could blow it, only to see the other team have an epic comeback to defeat you!" The little boy thinks it's silly but flash forward to 2020 and he remembers what happened. The 1991 World Series with the Braves up 3 games to 2 only to lose twice in extra innings. 2002 13-1 Georgia's only loss is to rival Florida after being up 13-12 after 3 quarters. In 2012 it's the famous Bama comeback and Aaron Murray to Chris Conley short of the end zone SEC championship (essentially national championship) game. In 2017 it's the Falcons 28-3 collapse in Super Bowl 51. In January 2018, it's the famous 2nd and 26 game. In December 2018 it's the famous Jalen Hurts comeback game. In October 2020, Georgia is up 24-17 with less than 1 minute to go in the first half, only to see Bama outscore them 24-0 the rest of the game and blow them out. That very same week, the Braves go up 3-1 in the NLCS and is up 2-0 in Game 5 to close it out. But the Dodgers come back and win games 5, 6, and 7 to break their hearts. You can't tell me there's not a curse on major sports in the state of Georgia.

Don't forget all those other losses by those Braves teams from 1991-2005 aside from 1995 when they lucked out and got the Indians whose Cleveland curse is perhaps the greatest of all.
I personally believe coach vince dooley performed a ritual with a sacrifice at midfield of sanford stadium and agreed to trade away ALL future titles so he could get Hershel Walker to come to UGA and then of course win a natty as well.

UGA alumnus but I appreciate the humor and I laughed. If we can’t laugh at ourselves then we shouldn’t watch football or laugh fans of the teams we beat. SEC Shorts takes shots at everyone and I appreciate that. Well done and man, those Bama receivers are incredible. Only thing I’ll add is Richt was a good coach here a while until like 2009 when we started losing to most of the ranked teams we played. Feel like some people forget his earlier years were rock solid. Nice video and Go Dawgs.
