Why do people still expect him to churn out another Run to You and rock like Reckless or Waking Up the Neighbours? Run to You and Reckless are 31 years old, WUTN is 24 years old. I don't want to buy an album that sounds like Reckless or WUTN. Surely music has changed and Bryan's musical preferences have undergone a change over decades as well. On a Day Like Today was the last "rock" album. After that...Room Service was more pop-rock, 11 was supposed to be acoustic but ended up being soft rock, and Bare Bones was acoustic. Tracks of my Years was bluesy and rock & roll. Bryan goes rockabilly here. The versatility & variety on offer is the mark of a good musician.
