Why in the hell would anyone turn off comments on a song like this? The other ones have "comments turned off" fuck that. Well anyway, big grandpa Zeppelin fan here. Saw them live back in the day along with just about everyone else. Ass kicking concert. First heard them summer of 69, WOW!, to say the least. I always had powerful stereo systems. If you came over to my house in the 70's you were guaranteed some good reefer and a few Zeppelin songs at high volume. Damn those were the days!!!

That’s why I came here. To comment on how much I love this tune. I remember buying Physical Graffiti in the early 90’s on cassette and listening on the long bud ride to school. Such a cool tune.
For some reason the beginning sounds like something out of egypt, so i imagine someone tirelessly treading a hot desert. Alone and on the verge of giving up, looking for the path home. That's what this song means to me, Very inspirational.... Some of the best songs are always so vivid in their representation of life.

Gotta love the sound of that hurdy gurdy at the beginning and during the breakdown. It sounds like they recorded a hurdy gurdy then loaded it to an organ with some compression by angling the sound into a saw.
I really think the song highlights John Paul Jones and Robert Plant's singing/writing. "Since I've been Loving you" is more the Godly presence of Jimmy's playing. He is a true genius for sound production too though through and through. So I suppose we are in a kind of agreeance non-the-less. How do you know He is the only guitarist by the way?
