I know Thor isn't in this movie but who would have paid money to see a scene where that government guy tries to tell Thor that he has to sign a contract and only deal with things that they tell him to go deal with

You didn't mention how Ross told the Avengers that they caused New York's disaster, but it was actually the goverment who fired the nuclear head to New York.
To be fair as evidenced in Winter Soldier Shield was Hydra all along. Since Avengers took place before that it was probably Hydra that gave the go signal.
Domihork Jeremy doesn't even mention how Ross had a hand in creating the Hulk & Abomination, who ended up tearing up Harlem. This is one of the reasons why I thought the Sokovia Accords were bullshit.
The world security council is separate from SHIELD. As we saw in Winter Soldier, they really weren't part of HYDRA, and then Agent's of Shield season 3, when one of them turned out to be an ally of Coulson's. It was the world security council's decision to fire a missile. Unless Hydra was somehow behind the World Security Council, but since Redford's character(his name escapes me at the moment), had to try and convince them(then threaten them) to align with Hydra, I doubt it.
Why was Powers Booth (Who in which was one of the original council members from the first Avengers movie.) replaced? And why does Marvel and DC keep to swap out Actors back and forth, between Comic Franchises?
@ Alexander Kieler : Even though Ross had a hand in it, the guy who became the Abomination was out of control, and it was *his* decision to do that to himself. Which unfortunately absolves Ross from the most if not all the blame.

I love Peter’s reaction to Giant-man, Scott is suddenly a giant “Holy Shit!” such a kid reaction, so perfect and his childlike enthusiasm throughout the fight is so great.
It is, he's clearly geeking out but trying to fight the whole time.
Actually I think a real kid reaction would be sh%ting their pants.
SpongeBob SquarePants I think that yes if I were a kid yes I would be startled if there was suddenly a giant dude in front of me but given that “shitting your pants” is more of a fear response than a response to being startled I’m not sure that would happen in this situation. My main point of my initial comment though was that I found Peter’s response to the situation adorable and the perfect response for a 14 year old superhero in a situation that he’s never been in, as were all of his responses and comments throughout the whole airport scene.
It's more a general "real person" reaction than childlike. Like how a fan of the MCU would react in that situation.

I'm pretty sure in the comics they explain that the reason he can stick to things through his gloves and shoes is because the power works because he can the manipulate electrostatic force on his hands and feat on a molecular level. Not to mention his super strength in his fingers alone is pretty insane.

One sin to add: Secretary Ross upbraids the Avengers for causing collateral damage. This is the same man who deliberately unleashed *The Abomination* on Harlem, resulting in a battle with the Hulk which could have been prevented, but ended up doing millions in property damage, not to mention resulting in multiple injuries and deaths.
But expect no one to remember that, for plot reasons.
Soo... he, in no way, could have learned his lesson? Maybe he agrees that he was wrong in doing so, which is why he wanted to accords? I mean, Tony made Ultron and he wants it.
This is supposed to be covered by the business where Ross has a heart attack and changes his mind about everything; that's supposed to, in turn, allude to Tony doing the same... but I agree, it doesn't work.
Hi, I am Hi. It's bad writing. He was an asshole and was never called up on his bullshit, yet the developers have him judge the Avengers for plot purposes. He was responsible for millions in terms of damage and thousands of deaths and serious injuries, and got away with it without so much as a slap on the wrist. What he did was worse than the Avengers ever did, yet they are the ones that are punished.

Anything he does is pretty much the responsibility of the government he works for. Which is what the accords is about. Its like the police for a government, the government is responsible for the police force. Which is why what the avengers did was 'wrong' because they didnt have a government body behind them.

The explanation Tony used was Wanda wasn’t a citizen(not just American in general) but I’m pretty sure Natasha is seeing as if she’s been in America for how long working with SHEILD. Wanda was just brought on over from Sokovia

As fun as the airport scene was it does make you wonder why Wanda didn't just use her mind manipulation powers on everyone to stop them attacking or subdue them till the others got on the jet. She'd already established in Age of Ultron that she had the power to effortlessly control half of Sakovia to evacuate them.

I'm pretty sure Wanda can't manipulate it if its not already there like amplifying Tony's paranoia or Hulk's rage. She might be able to distract them but she can't just make strong willed superheroes suddenly want to give up fighting. Not to mention Vision wouldn't let her wreck havoc.

I’ve always wondered this about her. I justified it as she can only do small batch mind control lol like generally one target at a time, but the Sokovia battle already disproves that. The real reason is there wouldn’t be much conflict if she did that. But for story reasons there doesn’t seem to be a good one.
Well, the people of Sokovia are normal human beings who didn't even have their guards up. The Avengers, in their first encounter with the Maximoffs, didn't have their guards up either. Here, they know what she can do, they're not going to take her lightly. And Vision is there to counter her mind warping powers.

10:19 - Bucky had already been tested on and gotten the super soldier serum BEFORE he fell off the train. That's why he was able to survive. Since the serum had been 100% effective in him (unlike in Red Skull, where things went slightly wrong), I assume Zola would want to retrieve the one person that the serum worked on. Bucky was obviously a very valuable asset to them at that point. It would make even less sense to just leave him there.
the problem with all that is. they capure Zola that very day, the convince him to join their side, even tho he was secretly hydra, sure. but, why would they let him go back to look for bucky and all that, how long did that take? how long was bucky laying on the snow WITHOUT AN ARM???
A sin should be when vision shoots down war machine. He intended to hit falcon but hits rhoady. So if the beam can do that to the armor what did he think it would do for falcon? Tickle him?
Falcon still had wings to glide on, and a safety parachute. Rhodey literally says: "Target is thruster, turn him into a glider."
What I would sin though is how Vision was in such a perfect angle to hit Rhodey after Falcon dodged. I mean what are the chances?

Ok so the answer to the question at 10:30 is actually because before Bucky was saved by Captain America in Captain America: The First Avenger, Arnim Zola actually experimented on him. This is how he was actually able to survive the fall from the train. Zola wanted him back to finish his expiriments, which included turning him into a super soldier (the Winter Soldier). That is why Zola wanted him back so badly, because it was his work that he wanted to complete.

Ross is something of a hypocrite, he was never meant to be a morally defining character.
Also the ones who launched the nuke was the World Security Council, an agency of their own, not the entire government. The Accords however, are actually supported by the UN themselves.

Cap can figure out the geometry of that shot because of the serum. It enhanced his mind to the point where he was practically a genius and he was able to calculate how the shield would bounce when he threw it
Also cap knows the name of the redhead because post-serum, his memory was perfect which is why he was the superior soldier because he could very quickly learn and master any fighting style

I wish that could be the last cameo of Stan Lee.. because he will eventually have to make a last cameo.. since he's ancient already and not in a particularly good shape anymore. I really wish his last cameo won't be a hokey CGI model of his, or just being a random bystander. If anything that whole "Stan picks up Thor's hammer casually" would be a wonderful way to remember him forever.

Bucky WAS arrested in Bucharest by german forces. This is because the nearest Task-Force office is in Berlin, which dispatched special forces to Bucharest to locate and eliminate Bucky.
German police doesn't have jurisdiction in Romania, though. They'd have to go through Europol and ask Romanian police to arrest him.

The reason why Cap seems to make ridiculous throws with his shield and having it come back to him is explained in the comics. He's able to calculate the amount of force, the angle, and other factors in a split second because of the SSS

The reason Bucky was special was that they'd already done a bunch of experiments on him at the other HYDRA facility. He was already close to being a Winter Soldier, they just needed to add the mind control.

Two scenes missing that should've removed sins:
1) Clint meeting Black Panther;

2) Ant-Man Meeting Cap;
"Captain America! Oh man, it's an honor...and I'm shaking your hand way too long. This is getting awkward. I'm gonna stop."

But then immediately add a sin for Ant-man turning back to Wanda (whom he just rode in the van with) and saying "I know you too, you're awesome" like he just met her. I find it weird when people criticize a supervillain's master plan for having too many contingencies as if everything that happened was necessarily part of the plan. Yes, certain things that happened can't be accounted for but who said they were? I mean, who said this is the fist version of the plan? What is far more likely is that you had a different plan but when things started going sideways you adapted your plan so you could still accomplish what the end goal was ultimately.
People forget that Zeno already had a plan ready he was just waiting for the perfect time...that being Wanda Killing Wakandans. This was the time to frame Bucky to turn Steve against the others, then show Tony the tape. It was really a two step plan designed to turn to the most important Avengers against each other

Well the narrator was referencing Ryan Lochte when he spoke of the avengers basically ignoring sovereign borders. Ryan Lochte was a an olympic athlete during the 2016 games that started trouble in Rio by violating some laws then lying about it on national television.
So in turn just as the Avengers did, Ryan Lochte was ignorant of an damage he caused. He references it because it went viral on the news for a couple weeks.

I paused right at 3:28 when Vision just finishes phasing through the wall and I've never seen such a perfect freeze frame. Vision's got his arms up and out like he's some cryptid you'll see in low-res on SCP, Wanda's casually looking over while in perfect HD, and Steve looks like he just inhaled some pepper flakes while high.
Honestly tho, do you really think Tony gives two shits in that moment that Bucky had no control over his actions? He just saw footage of the guy brutally murdering his parents, while that very guy is standing right next to him. You really think he's gonna be thinking clearly in that moment?
I don't think the accords were a part of Zemo's plan, they just happened to take place during his revenge and he took advantage of them. If there weren't any accords than we would have framed Bucky for some other crime. Also he couldn't just mail the tape to Tony because the only copy was in the Hydra base.
And he only framed Bucky because the guy he got the book from refused to tell him what he wanted, so framing Bucky was his plan B.
Exactly. During the Hydra interogation, Zemo says roughly, "If you don't tell me, I'll have to use other, bloodier methods to get the information." He was after the location of the tape & other soldiers. The Accords were simply the opportunity for him to start acting, as by their very nature they'll create additional tension in the team, making his job even easier.
he could of just went to the hydra base and either taken the tape, or recode it on his own on his cellphone or a camera or sent threats to tony to the point that he can lead Tony to the Hydra base and played the tape to him. Tony will still be angy with cap and would still want to find bucky while cap would also want to stop Tony from killing bucky. Then commit suicide
That is a good explanation, but then how do you explain him planning to infiltrate the 'shield/UN' holding facility? He planned to get in there and turn Bucky into the mind controlled soldier, so its okay that he 'used the accords to his advantage', but he planned to do things that required the accord to happen first.
Honestly, Zemos plan worked because Tony and Steve just don't like each other.
if Zemo did his plan during age of ultron, it would have worked cause Steve and Tony actually fought for a little bit in that movie.

"Captain America: Civil War" suits it better since the plot line of Steve and Bucky's struggle continues, wrapping up what was started with the other Captain America films into a complete trilogy, while the Avengers movies are focused on particular villains (Loki, Ultron, Thanos) that the Avengers team up against to thwart their goals.
