After cleaning my gas stove yesterday…I think I’d rather clean a toilet than a stove most days. 😂
The vacuuming is so key for me! I really appreciate you sharing this what us! My ovens never looked so clean , I’m so proud!
This makes me appreciate my electric range a little more 😊 The easy off works wonders!
Looks great!
Thank you for this! Cleaning the removable burners has always scared me that I’d mess up the finish so I only half-assed. Thanks for showing us how it’s done and making me less fearful and ready to conquer it.
Yes!! I also have been looking for a good tutorial/solution to cleaning those grates!!! Sharing this with my friends!
I needed this!
Good work!
Appreciate the thoroughness of this video, but I am trying to decide between gas or induction and I think I have my answer 😂 I seriously cannot do this regularly with everything else in the house that needs a deep clean from time to time. I just can't.
This saved my sanity! 💖
I never thought to vacuum my stovetop before watching these videos. It is so much easier!
I love watching these cleaning tutorial from the couch...but I still didn't have the courage to start cleaning myself LOL

I needed this video!! thank you
Glad it was helpful!
I clean my hood vent covers with easy off! I just spray them at let them sit for 2 hours and then just rinse off with very hot water. If it still has grease on them I repeat the process and works every time!
I love the music. I feel like I'm watching a how-to episode of Monk.
Thanks
Thanks! To cut out one of these steps I pop my fan filters in the dishwasher.
I put burners in a plastic garbage bag with some ammonia and let it sit overnight and the grease comes off like butter . Also tired of buying easy off and nozzle doesn’t work halfway through , so I started to buy magic eraser by Mr Clean and yes works great to remove all the stuff on stove . Just wash everything off at the end .
I thought I was the only one with the nozzle problem!
@@yayiska05 Happen to every can I ever bought. Gave up buying them.
Beautiful results!
I also found out by accident that I can use a steamer and it’s very effective for the stovetop. I have birds so I’m hyper sensitive about any fumes that could hurt them. I’m going to the store to get some oven cleaner and I will take the grates outside.
Thanks again. Happy Holidays!
You are welcome! and Happy Holidays to you! Steamers are awesome. We have used them on ovens, shower grout you name it.
I cleaned my grandmothers gas range stove up a couple months ago after years, I'm talking YEARS, of build up using these methods. I love all the products and tools to get the job done. I did what I could in 4 hours, It was not perfect at all but much better than before. It's definitely time for round 2 to get it looking like new. The vent hood , oh my goodness the vent hood, was caked in grease. I was satisfying to clean. Is there any way to remove scratches from stainless steel? My grandpa had the "genius" idea to use a metal wire brush on a drill to remove the grease from the top of the stove.... Idk why.
I think it’s generational. My mom was absolutely convinced that ammonia would work. All it did was make our eyes burn and the grime remained.
My rental gas stove lifts up. All the crumbs and garage under there. I used a pumice stone from Amazon that removed all the brown crud. No scratches. Use Mr. Clean that I put in a non aerosol hair spray bottle for greasy clean up.
Cowabunga! On the burners!
Yes Sarah! Thank you 👍 Will soak those tonight. 🎉🎉
Now if the rental agency would hook my vent up to the outside..... 🙄😖
Just wondering why you didn’t just start with the easy off? I'm going to do the deep clean on the surface and my hubby is taking care of the sparker and gassy bits. Thanks!
Sarah what if the stove top is stainless? Can you put the easy off on it?
How do you get the pot scratches off the cast oven grates?
Can you use easy off on stainless steel stovetop??
my neighbor puts all the stovetop pieces in her dishwasher they come out great!
Can we leave it after spray over the night?😊
Vacuuming the stove top is such a game changer.
Hi Ladies! Please release the long form of this video so we can see the nitty gritty of it all. I have a similar stove. Thank you for this one! These are such a beast. Great for cooking though.
Question: when cleaning this type of gas’s range….I also take out the long black pans under burner tops. They have grease & crud along all the sides. Do those not lift out on the gas range?
My client has this stove and they do come off. I was confused as to why she left them on.
I'm glad you mentioned the number of cans of easy off you used. Maybe that is why I still have burnt on stains no matter. I'm going to spend an entire day cleaning my stove now. Thanks. @tgboys3
Curious, after you wipe the dawn power wash from the stovetop, then do you rinse it with a water/sponge BEFORE spraying easy off? Isn’t there still dawn residue leftover? So you’d be mixing chemicals, right?
Yes! always wipe or rinse off a cleaner before using another.
That Dawn spray is sooo concentrated... I used it on the inside of my oven door and it seeped into the seam between the glass and the metal door part. I rinsed and rinsed but still whenever I turn on my oven I smell it. It won't burn off either! I don't recommend this. :(
Help! How do I get it cleaned out? Can I remove the door/glass?
Edit: saw you have a video for removing/cleaning the glass! Awesome! I'll definitely be doing this lol.
Edit 2: So I took my oven door apart today to try to clean out the Dawn Powerwash and well, my oven looks so much cleaner now.... but the Dawn still stinks when I turn it on. I won't be able to cook in it, I'm worried it will permeate my food. Please don't use this in your oven!!
Can you link the white brush you use on this video
I wish we could! They are the best brushes and the only place we can find them is at Dollarama (a Canadian dollar store).
I’m not into using “easy off” so would definitely enjoy a future video with different solutions as alternatives! Still appreciate the video though
What do you use to clean your horse hair attachment after?
I soak mine in hot water and a splash of bleach (in a sink). Then let air dry.
I was wondering this the other day when you used the vacuum on toilet 😂
And yes you do deserve a drink after this! ❤
My gas cooktop is old and doesn’t look anything like this stove. I think mine’s much easier to clean! 😁
How long did that take you??😊
A long long time lol. Hours. But oh man did it look good when it was done.
@@gocleanco yes it looks amazing. I’m trying to clean mine today…. 7 hours in and still not done. I guess I finish tomorrow!!
How are your hands not destroyed with all the chemicals and water they are exposed to. I would love to know your secret!!!
