Some pretty big internal updates to the new 2020 MacBook Air with M1 Chip - a lot of these improvements will really be noticeable in stock Apple apps, until developers play catch up. Really wish we saw a 14" display but regardless, this is the best time to upgrade/buy a MacBook Air!

I literally got my new MacBook Air 2020 (M1) delivered to me today and I have to say I am impressed considering also that this is my first ever Mac. Great Video Karl!

@@joykarimi9493 I decided to go with 16gb 512gb M1 air in 2022 because for me the SSD read and write speed of M2 air is just not acceptable.
Just one thing: while indeed not a big improvement, the air does have a display upgrade. It’s a P3 now

Krobolt ! P3 Wide Color Display, it can now express as much color as the iMacs. With other words the display now is more colorful than before, and therefore it is more color accurate for photo editing

This the era of ARM-based processors, like M1. Actually those processors not new, already shipped on mobile phones & ipads. With some tweaks of the processor, the mac OS now is highly optimizated for it.

Just ordered one on Amazon for work from home. Camera much better than Windows or Chromebook laptop, lightweight, USB c charger, and powerful. Every thing I am looking for.
I'm enjoying my M1 Mac Mini and mt M1 MacBook Pro. I went with just the base models because I know I'll probably upgrade them in a few yrs.

Just fyi they did update the Macbook Air display, they are P3 displays now with 400 nit brightness, so can actually do graphic design on them now.

Awesome review, I was looking for something I could bring to work with me or chill at a library with while I study for IT certifications, maybe even do some PowerShell development with and you knocked it out of the park. My SysAdmin was trying to get me to pay $1,800 for the MacBook Pro M2 and I knew that was not the best choice for me for such basic things.

Honestly the 8GB and 16GB ram actually don't make that big of a difference at all (perhaps it's the unified memory). If you're super serious about specs, you'd should be going for something like the pro with the M1 anyway.
