How did Jack O’Connell not receive a award for this. He portrayed cool in a unreal way and was so in touch with his character I haven’t seen anything like it before I just think he deserves it so much
He's won plenty of awards though even before this version of Cook
I don't feel he was unreal
He was real from the begining to the end that is why so many loosers hate him and the writer wanna potrait him as another Homeless
@@rockwillsaveyou102 I think the commenter meant 'unreal' as a compliment, as in his acting was out of this world good. Not that the actor was portraying Cook in a way that didn't feel authentic :)
@@rockwillsaveyou102if you don't know what unreal means, don't talk.
He needs his own series... I’d watch cook!
This was his own series you silly muppet
@@ODShic they mean a full season you moron
Max Draper i like that thought
@@maxdraper6462 me too

It's freddy all over again. Cook has had this situation like. On repeat. And it's interesting to see how he handled it second time round. Like he actually talked to the dude and asked him to stop. It's mad..
anyone else think of cooks brother? that little kid idolised him ... I wonder how Cooks life choices influenced and affected him and how he views their memories now that he's older.
He fucked that kid up
Cook was very complicated but I think that deep down he was a really good guy, he just never had a home and people that would support him. But he would do anything for people that he loved, he had so much love to give, he just came from a really fucked up place, that’s all
@@majak.8723 agreed
Missed oppertunity to have his little brother not go down the same path
I know that feeling my little brother grew up watching me take drugs and all the violence that ensued , cops apways at the door but then i got older and calmed down a bit and he is twice as bad as i was , makes you wonder what if i had been different..
this scene makes me feel sure that cook killed john foster. Louie had a gun and couldn't even stop cook. John wouldn't stand a chance with only a baseball bat
It was clear that he killed him in season 4 why you need this scene to be sure that he did it
He admits it in the first part of this story
Obviously. That’s the whole premise of this additional episode!!!!
@Tyrone Williams no, some people don’t do it straight away
Yeah he kinda says it off hand in the first episode. Just causally. ".... I killed a man once"
Is it just me or who else thinks jack o’ Connell (cook) would of played a great kingsman
Yes yes
nicole pfupa I could see him in peaky blinders
OMG yessss
YES
@@firstname4476 doesn't his brother play the younger Shelby brother?
Cook was such an amazingly complex character, who throughout these two episodes had suppressed his inner demons, but when he screamed his name, the beast is still there, just shows that he has it under more control now.
Basically the same journey as kratos from the god of war series
Cook is bigger than skins
Wtf, cook is 1 of the best characters but it doesn't mean skins was trash.
@@luismalheiro3602 nobody said it was trash LOL
Luís Malheiro no one said it was
@@luismalheiro3602 He is right, of course. Skins was a deep dive into mental illnesses, trauma, and just about everything I could think to list so I'll spare you all on the everlasting list; but Cook's story was consistently about the deepest depths of torture that existence brings down on all of us. And I don't know if I'm quite ready to say that it's the best representation of it out there, but it's the best representation of the broken human experience while trying to carry on, carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders while you grin and bear it, that I have personally ever seen. And the way they portrayed it (they being the writers, directors, and actors) was unparalleled throughout the show, and anything I've seen before and after.
@@luismalheiro3602 haha why you angry he didn't say that but he is right Jack O'Connell (cook) is way bigger than skins now
Never realized this scene was only 7 minutes... felt like an eternity first time watching it
This is so true.
One of the truly dramatic moments in the series. Masterfully directed and acted.
Luca Xzanders jessus
The end was shit tho... no closure
David N cause it’s not American
David N of course it was a closure.. Life has no closure. So I see that u didn’t got his final words lmao
I wish they didn’t end skins. The show gave so much love and hope
@Dante Thorne Naw, that be milking it. They ended both those characters stories on a high note. Why drag on? Every good story needs an ending, and cook and effy got that.
@@jeffrey544 A high note? does this look like a high note to you?
@@lilskelpy considering is was well written, performed and received well by the fans, Yes I would say that it is a high note.
I agree !!! I really thought since effy and cook were gonna be in season 7 they would meet in the last episode and get together and have cook explain what happened to Freddie :( but sadly we never got that
I just want to know how cook told everyone about freddie or if he even did
When Louie was pointing the gun at cook imagine if jj had just appeared and sparked him out
That would’ve been the best ending 🤣🤣
Distracts with a magic trick...
It would’ve been funny if as soon as Cook sees him he says
Mac J the Lord high chieftain of J and hugs him
After skins jj went to London became friends with a local rapper by the name of k and became a badman on the ends in sumovahood 😅
😂🤣
Such a great scene. You can literally see the inner conflict in Cook's face as he has the gun pointed at Louie, deciding whether or not to finish him, you can just tell that he'd love nothing more than to kill him but he doesn't want to be that person. Jack is a fantastic actor
I've been obsessed with this show since I was about 13 years old. I'm 21 now. I always seem to come back and watch. What I've realized, through binging ungodly amounts of edits and fan based scenarios on the internet, is that if Effy and Cook had, in fact, found each other again at the end of the series. They could have saved each others lives from going down (at least THESE) horrible outcomes of a path for them as characters. Cook and Effy were the most characteristically developed characters of this generation, at LEAST, if not in the entirety of Skins as a whole. They always had a chemistry. Cook always loved Effy. I think Effy just thought he'd be unobtainable forever. And I think Cook always got hurt the more and more he realized that he was never able to have made Effy BE obtainable to him. Both suffered greatly in the end.
Skins was such a great show.
I get where you are coming from but Freddie and Effy forever.
Yes these are my exact thoughts I loved effy and cook but they were so similar that they’re own egos and prides got in the way, hey maybe theyd find each other after all this mess atleast I can imagine its what happens
Skins had everything in its run . Yeh sure some of the writing went off the rails at times and messed up some lore . But it also offered some truly great telly and future stars

I feel so sorry for emma and their parentes,I mean they didn't do aanything...
Yes!! So so so sad. She was a sweetheart and her parents too. It just sucked. Fucking Charlie and cook man, assholes 😂 if they hadn't messed around, Emma wouldn't have left and died
@@angelikabatwoman right! I honestly related to emma on so many levels and to see her dead hanging from that tree all because of her love and kind heart man it hit close to home
I thought it was stupid that Charlie was dumb was enough to delude herself into probably thinking that cook and her bf were fighting over her. And cook doesn't even acknowledge Emma's body hanging from the tree he just walks past her and comforts stupid ass Charlie while her bf is laying there dying of exposure. He deserves it but the scene shows how calloused cook is and how shitty of a person Charlie is. We've seen it before but this scene solidified it.
It gave me a sad feeling, i’d rather had the other girl dead
Cook is the only perfect character in all 4 editions of skins.
Gen1 is the best but cook is perfect
Joey Tribiani Not the best. I was bored as hell. Gen 2,1,3
OnlyLegendsKat meh, everyone has opinions and I respect that. I felt the second gen was a bit far fetched. As much as it was interesting I was watching it thinking "nah that would never happen " and I became disengaged. Like why did JJ shag the twin? It didn't need to happen for the story line, and it wouldnt have happened in a million realities. The first gen was just unspoiled.
But cook held strong through gen 2 he was easy to connect with emotionally
Cook is a God, he’s funny, hot and has a soft side. I miss him :(
Gen 2 is where it’s at: 2,1,3
I'm a bit disappointed he didn't kill Louie actually... I mean, he did kill his gf and her parents. Nevertheless, Rise had the best episodes from Vol. 7 no doubt.
Fabio Mosqueda Rise was the more truer to the spirit of Skins than the Fire and Pure. They didn't feel like Skins anymore.
Senate300 exactly, I mean I could even tolerate Cassie's episode (even though I would've liked her to at least mention Sid at some point) but Fire was just awkward af
Fabio Mosqueda I actually liked Cassies episode because it was reflection of how much her charactet grew up the most. Effys Fire was the weakest in my eyes because there was too many distractions. Naomi and Emily deserved stole that episode in my eyes because Naomi's cancer was the tragic end to one of Skins best crafted love stories.
Senate300 EXACTLY
Gold Rose this is sadly very realistic. Psychopaths like him they don’t end up dead or killed even when they’re finally arrested. Society is bullshit
My 2nd favorite scene of all time, right after the original I AM COOK!
Timo van Helvoort I have to agree 10000%
Was that when he pushed Super Hans outta the boat?
termeownator omg I forgot about that, I was thinking when he killed john foster
@@niamh111 yeah I figured that's what ppl meant, I just kinda wanted to make sure I didn't misremember something, like mashing bits from two different programs together maybe..
@@termeownator no it was episode 2 season 3 when he beats up Johnny White at the brothel
Jack O’Connell is a fucking mint actor who deserves a lot more credit than he gets
It's like Freddie said in season 3 "do you want to die mate? You're drinking yourself to death, you're fighting with gangsters..." prophetic....
i love how cook said "charlie twat him" when shes not there just to distract him it took me like 5 times of watching it to realise it
Poor Emma. She's was so pretty
And she put up with his bullshit a lot. Poor girl didn't deserve this
This show went from a bunch of teenagers screwing around into some breaking bad sh!t
They barely land a punch on each other but both of there faces are busted up haha
I didn’t really enjoy the other episodes from this season, but this one really did stand out from the others. I fucking love cook man...
And it was at this moment, the boy that lived life like a fucking crazy train with no destination but of self destruction, the boy who had so much only to lose it all.... ran, ran faster then he knew he could... he ran so fast but he didn't give a shit, because something was chasing him... and he had to win. But it was this moment, that the boy died and was reborn, and like the phoenix, his humanity rose from the ashes and burned brighter than the stars. Because no matter how cold the winter will be, no matter how dark the nights will get, no matter what storms he will face, the dawn will come, and the sun will bright his way. For him to see it, really see it... to get inside his skin and live inside him. And it's good, it's a good thing... and that's the story of James Cook.
JasonGuitarHand Jeez that was deep
JasonGuitarHand that was deep. Actually cried
I’m taking a shit rn lol😂👌
JasonGuitarHand that is the cringest thing I've ever read in my life jesus christ
I thought you were gonna say "it was at this moment he knew, he fucked up"
I wanted Cook and Emma were happy together, she loved him but it's sad her bad ending.
I loved Emma 😥😥
This is all fooken charlies fault. Everything
RockBottom so we're all gonna blame her for all that shit as if Louis didn't kill 4 people in the span of an hour
If it weren't for Charlie being a fucking moron none of it would've even happened in the first place, I hated her so much
@Gold Rose she didn't know that he would kill innocent people
@@gwenminor9244 but Charlie fucked his best friends AND ran away so he went on a rampage because cook was in on it too
@Gold Rose
toxic Relationship.
I didn't care for Cook at the beginning but... the actor really gave him depth. This episode was really great. (And he looks damn fine!)
New season, new season, new season... 😭
César Zevallos Gutierrez We’re want too.
No... Skins ended perfectly here. By creating a new series it would throw away the purpose of Series 7 and the power of its ending.
We already had stories told across 27 characters in 3 different generations. What more can be done?
JasonGuitarHand We want a Conclusion Characters like Tony, Sid, Michelle, Thomas, Pandora, Katie and others to see how others Characters of Skins a his Final.
But the difference is that those guys had their endings, we all knew what they were going to do. The reason why it works for Cook & Cassie is because their endings were so vague they were just open to beign a cliffhanger and there was still more to be told in their stories as opposed to the rest of the characters of Skins. The story of Gen 1 ended with Cassie in America who was being searched by Sid, where it's left ambigious if Sid found Cassie (as he was literally right outside where she was, and they were unawave of each others presence). But we learn through Pure that she travelled across America with a 'boy' and ended the relationship because it couldn't go further. Of course it was left open to the audience to interpret if it was Sid or another guy (maybe that selfless waiter in New York). And then we have Cook who was being haunted by the police and was left ambigious also, because we didn't know the outcome of his fight with Foster. Again, he implies that he killed 'someone' but not implying who it was (but it was clear it was Foster).
It's because Cassie's & Cook's story was left so ambigious and unfinished which is why it made sense for their stories to be completed. Like what the writters said when they were considering bringing Mini & Franky to series 7, they felt their stories were already left in a good ending for them to not revisit them. All of these characters minus Cassie & Cook were left on a good end that completes their teenage story. And I say Cassie & Cook a lot, because i didn't really see the need to bring Effy into Series 7 compared to the afromentioned characters. I see mostly because she is the most iconic character of Skins and we just want to explore her wild character into adulthood.
Really, Skins ends here. If they chose to make another series, they will just use the name as a cash cow just as an excuse for a quick buck. I do love this series, but we must accept that its ended and leave it here as an iconic series that really represented our generation.
anatole118218 that was ugly to read.
Cook is my goto personality when I need it.
just watched rise again tonight. haven't since it came out 5 years ago. not perfect, but I guess neither is skins. and neither are our favourite characters. and neither are we. i do think though, this is the closest to a perfect ending the show of our childhood could've done. and for that i love it
Agree. The older I get, the more I look back, the more I think this show is wise Beyond its years
you always know shits about to get real when you hear "i'm cook"
I wish they explained more about fred
Yes. And I hated how in Effy’s episode Freddie from seasons before was not mentioned but then on a night out there was a character called Freddie
The best scene in the entire reboot. Cook is one of skins best characters and Jack is a very fine actor.
Him and Dev Patel would be great together in a movie or mini series
Honestly it was kinda cooks fault Emma died. If he had only taken away Charlie and just left Emma she would still be alive. And also if he didn’t have sex with Charlie out in the forest Emma might not have wandered of and could still have been alive.
So true!! Asshole behaviour of him
Poor Cook. He deserved so much better.
Long love the Cookie Monster ❤️💙💋
One of the best characters ever !
I still remember the shock & angst I had when I saw this!

this is so sad omg, best scene even if it’s really sad
Please continue skins, wanna see gen 1 and 2 again so badly 😩
It's Laci gen 1 and tony
Me too omfg
You couldn't now. Some of the people quit acting, othes are film stars now and wouldn't want to do TV. The world's a totally different place too now. It's best to let a great thing finish when it naturally does. Wish they'd just left Star Wars alone for example.
Best moment of the whole Skins seasons😍😍😍
Jack is terrific in that TV series "Godless." If you haven't seen it, please do.
Fantastic show, he’s got a new miniseries with Colin Farrell and Stephen graham coming out this year, based on a book, premise sounds really good, it’s called the north water. cant wait for it Jack is an incredible actor, his performance is the movie starred up is just as good as it gets, his movie 71 was also awesome.
Did no one noticed that this fight was trying to give us closure on the Foster Chapter! But this time Cook didn‘t kill. He went all I‘m Cook on him But stopped. Foster wasnt so lucky
Oh my god, this episode was an amazing end, even though I wish skins never ended :(

Cook is probably the best fighter in all the characters in skins
LOL! “Come on Charlie, twat him.” Goddamn Brits have the best expressions. “You giving me cheek yeah?”
Cook was the true skin character that was there for all
See I thought skins from what I remembered would be like drinking, drugs, sex and school etc. Not with killing. Just a big change
Did you just completely miss the part where people die of overdose, are murdered, or killed in an accident which could have been avoided?
@@sparta1n117 yeah that's when I first saw it like years ago. I didn't Watch it because idk wasn't my thing like a decade so u can't blame me. Yes they could been avoided but wasn't
Cook wasn’t begging, he was warning you mate. Go cook!
Can't believe this is a decade old. I was like 13 years old then, about to turn 24 in a few months. Time really does fly. Such a bittersweet ending to the series. Poor Emma, Cook doesn't look great in this tbh, treated her like shit really.
"What you think you could kill me? I'm fucking cook mate FUCKING COOOK!" badass af
I would love to see Cook go I'm Cook on that Luke guy
Hahaha ou shit me to, imagine that fight
Cook with his burgundy red Harrington vs Luke with his burgundy red Coat! I noticed that Luke's friend, the guy that's always with Luke is friends with Cook in Eden Lake. In a parallel universe they were in the same gang. Luke just came in later haha
These 3 episodes were powerful af!
Effie, cook & Cassie 3 episodes!!!

Jack O'Connell is one of the best actors around. You should watch trial by fire.
Is this it? Has the channel given us its last moment? :(

Does anyone know the piano song at 1:00?
Seeing cook now makes me wonder what Freddie would think him?
Being on the run for avenging him and getting in situations such as this. To see cook go from a stupid kid with feelings just wanting to be loved . To a man with resolve and purpose. Such a great character
What, you think you could kill me? I'm fucking Cook, mate! FUCKING COOK!
They couldn’t of ended it any better even tho I didn’t want it too
wait is this season seven?
An incredible way to finish Skins! I wouldn’t mind a Skins special based around Cook.
One of the best characters ever written
Just seeing season's 3 to 4, how his teen hood was and he's just here....witnessing death and destruction. That harsh tempered innocence Cook had with JJ and Freddie becomes a wish after seeing the girl hang in the tree...Cook did not deserve this life....but by God...for Freddie, maybe it was worth it..
