I recently read the following 3 books by Freida McFadden and LOVED them…suspenseful but not scary and well-written…The Housemaid, The Housemaid’s Secret and The Perfect Son. I could not put them down and my husband read them quickly after me. Enjoy your cruise. Excellent packing video.

An extra long packing video is EXACTLY what I need (okay, I don't NEED, but do want) on a Friday morning. Loved the vibe of this whole video. You seem extra relaxed... Maybe just the anticipation of the Rainforest Room is already getting you your money's worth with the all access pass. 😆😆😆

I love cozy mysteries for travel. Very brainless reading and relaxing (for me). So many are free on kindle. I bought myself and family new soniccare for Christmas so we now have 2 and One is dedicated to travel, I just make sure it's charged before I pack it! I travel frequently also, so having dedicated travel items (makeup, first aid, curl iron, toothbrush) makes my life so much easier and less chance of forgetting! Also, I always have a flashlight (waterproof) with me.
Rainforest Room = Elemis products in the locker room and showers. My favorite perk of the rainforest pass! I never shower in my stateroom on DCL because of this. :) Have a great time!

I love the book The Thursday Murder Club. It’s really well written, a nice mystery and pretty funny. It is the first of a four-book series. Have a wonderful trip!!

Floridian here! I highly recommend thigh rescue or body glide if you’re coming here or any hot weather place it’s a lifesaver. Also, your asthma might be worse in Florida because of the allergens (there’s so many and year round) a lot of people have a worse time here. Great video as always!!
Yup! That works too! Used to use body glide a lot when my kids were young and when I ran marathons. In Florida. Which is (shockingly) where I first found out I had asthma so the allergens thing is a real

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the advice to try everything on before packing it! I was able to eliminate several outfits that really weren't me, but who I thought I was supposed to be on vacation! It made packing easier and my bag lighter! I also appreciate that you are so real and tell it like it is (wear shorts or your thighs will chafe...been there, done that and I was miserable).

Love how you went through everything. I actually got tired of having to wait to pack my sonic toothbrush so I just bought a new one and the old one stays in my toiletry bag. Don't know why but you seem more playful lately and I'm here for it. One of my favorite authors/series is Marie Force Fatal Series. It's one of the few books I'll actually pre-order and pay full Kindle price for. Most of the time I just get the free books.

Good video, so well done. A lot didn't apply to me - makeup, purses. I have tried the over lay method, kinda works but I didn't find it any better than roll for wrinkles for most things and takes time, but is good. Never leave with out a light. Thank you.

First Lie Wins is a great book for a vacation. (It is not too fluffy, kind of suspenseful, but not stressful or deep. Fun read!)
J. A. Janice has great books. I’ve been reading up to one a day for the past month. She even has one that has pose and poetry, which I don’t usually enjoy, but I loved it!
MC Beaton is an English author who has two book series in the cozy mystery genre one is Agatha Raisin and the other is Hamish Macbeth. They are quick reads with humor, murder, romance. They are not new releases but I think you would enjoy them. Agatha Raisin is my favorite. I used to recommend them when I was a librarian.

My "Kindle books" are mostly by Sue Roberts. The guys call them my Hallmark movie books. Lol!!! Stories of women going on a trip and usually falling in love when they least expect it. Light reading. Quick. Fun.
And WOW!! I started wearing disposable contacts last year - game changer!!! So much easier. I typically wear my glasses, day to day (because of that annoying fact of needing cheaters with contacts) but fresh contacts are SO GOOD!

A novel that I just recently enjoyed is "The Lost Summers of Newport" - by Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig, and Karen White. It is an interesting read! Perfect for a cruise! Enjoy your trip - looking forward to your videos!

I'm in my mid-40's and gravitate toward a more simple clothing aesthetic and find myself leaning more on the chambray, navy, black, white, grey color palette, kind of like yours. Love this packing video. Shorts: I discovered the linen pull on linen shorts by Tommy Bahama at the Grand Floridian last year. I carry my weight in my thighs and these are flattering, comfortable, and cute. I bought them in 2 colors. PalmBray High Rise Linen. Enjoy your trip.

I use a general packing list that I customize for me, there may be items like gloves, scarves that I do not need for a warm weather trip but at least it will be there to remind me when I do take a trip that I things like that. Since I have been using it, I haven’t forgot things to pack. Anytime there is something specialized for the trip to add to the general packing list, I just write on it. I always have my toiletries bag packed with my “must haves”. I just refill/replace items after we return from a trip, so it is ready to go for the next trip. I purchased a second toothbrush for travel, and replacing the head to my home toothbrush if there a long period of time between trips.
I enjoy your videos. I will be doing my best to cut down on everything! I’m new to your channel and not too good at navigating CZcams to find what I need. I’d like to see a packing video using winter clothing. It’s so bulky. My husband and I will be going to Iceland and I would love to take carryons and only one lg suit case not two. We won’t be hiking, just in town things. Thank you!

I love your videos! I just got back from a trip and read Kristan Higgins Little Ray of Sunshine. I really loved her book Out of the Clear Blue Sky. A great beach read is The Beach Escape by Rachel Magee - about a sea turtle rehab vet. All Great reads!
This isn’t the video where I found the product, but I have to say that I love the cotton sleep mask that you recommended. Between that and my noise cancelling headphones, I was able to fall asleep on a red eye flight before the plane left the gate. Thank you so much for that suggestion.

Not cotton, but my recommendation for a short replacement is Duluth Trading Dry on the Fly. Nice, classic look, good colors and they are super for warm weather travel or being active. I did have to get them nipped in in the waist a bit, but they are high quality and worth it.
J D Robb books. It is a series but you also don't have to read it in order unless you want to follow the personal lives of the characters in order. Each is it's own murder investigation.
Do you borrow kindle books from your local library? There's a lot of books in this series so it would be the best way to try this series. There are a lot of books.

I really enjoy your all your videos especially the packing ones. I’m impressed with how much you can fit in your carryon. How much does it weigh? I’m concerned that I wouldn’t be able to stow it in the overhead bin.
Since you asked for book suggestions, I recently finished “Immigrant Daughter: Stories You Never Told Me” by Catherine Kapphahn, she also narrates the Audible version which is how I experienced it.
Summary: “Traversing time and place, memoir and novel, this lyrical narrative explores the collective memory between mothers and daughters and what it means to find wholeness. It is a story where a daughter gives voice to her immigrant (from Croatia) mother's unspoken history, and in the process, heals them both.”
It's heavy in parts, but it's a true story and feel it’s relevant to today in several ways.
Not sure if you are at all into Mary Higgins Clark or her daughter Carol Higgins Clark but I love their books and absolutely love their collab books. It's not Christmas time but you may find Santa Cruise fun for when you're on a cruise. It's a light and fun mystery. As are any of Carol Higgins Clark's books where as her moms books tend to be a bit more serious.
I have read some of her books but haven't done so in a few years - great suggestion!
For books, I'm currently really enjoying Remarkably Bright Creatures. The Finley Donovan series is a fun one, too. The Maid. The Echo of Old Books. The First Ladies. Sorry, letting my book nerd out :)

I always have a mini flashlight in my toiletry bag, as I learned the hard way during a power failure while staying in a hotel. Their generator did not kick in automatically and I freaked out. Also, it can be helpful in any number of situations.
It's one of those things you only have to be caught without ONCE and you never go without again.
You can correct me if I’m wrong I believe you do watch Hallmark aurora, tea garden mysteries their books, so you might want to try them. I like it but I do books on tape so audio for free through my library but you might like that. where did you get that big phone holder thing? I didn’t see the link for the O’Neill beach dress. you might want to try 32° men’s shorts I have two pairs but I am a little bit more fluffier but they are really comfortable. I do not chase at all and it’s 32° cool and it does keep me cool I have one blue one black and I wear them, and they’re really long I don’t like stuff above my knee also, they have a swim dress
Book recommendation: Station 11, Emily St John Mandel, it was turned into a mini series, but the book is so much better!!!
If you haven’t tried it yet, I highly recommend Nuud deodorant. It works miraculously and the tubes are very compact and made from sugar cane. One tube lasts me 6-9 months. I’ve never turned back. Hope you have a lovely cruise!
I recently read Run for Your Life by C.M. Sutter and loved it!
The entire Mystic Bayou series by Molly Harper. Mystery with a big dash of fantasy and a sprinkle of romance. So funny.
Oh I like that combo A LOT. I also love a good series - having another book to read right after one I loved is my favorite.
I’m currently re-reading “A Discovery of Witches,” by Deborah Harkness, which is part of the all souls trilogy. They are all very long books, though!
