    Thank you Jenna for these useful tips. I would like to ask you what does the word "prompt" mean in this context for, I looked it up in different dictionaries and none of the meanings listed fit the context here, when you said "3. READ AND UNDERSTAND THE PROMPT" does prompt here mean a kind of a test in class or a homework.

    • @LearnAcademicEnglish
      @LearnAcademicEnglish  Před 2 lety

      Sorry I didn't explain that better. The "prompt" is the writing question that is given by the teacher. For example: "Write an essay of 3-4 pages about a time in your life when you made a mistake. What did you learn from that mistake, and how did it change you as a person?" or "Should children have homework? Choose one side of the argument and explain your reasons."

    Mam you have been doing so great, and this kind of informative videos for free u really need views, use social media like insta and put short video and give the link of full video in comments , use # on insta when u post it at first I don't get views but after using them now I get more than 3000 I know its little less but good to getting started with ....

    • @IBRAHIM_ORTON
      @IBRAHIM_ORTON Před 2 lety +2

      Hello mam A little confusing help me out please and let me know whether I'm right or nope ..
      1.... As we know that we do use "get +v3 for passive form Like
      I get selected = I'm selected Works have got done = works have been done. And every time get +v3 makes same sense like to be +v3 but in 'get' we can't use stative verbs but in "to be +v3" we can like
      I get loved by everyone (wrong)
      I'm loved by everyone (right) I'm getting seen by spectators. (Wrong)
      Im seen by spectators now (right) can't use I'm being seen cuz "see" is stative verb and can't be used . No stative verbs aren't used with get +v3 , and it is often used to be informal .
      2..... Stative verb can't be used with continuous tenses Like we can't say I'm seeing it .(wrong) I'm believing u .(wrong) I have been tasting it .(wrong) Same thing with passive to I'm being seen by people (wrong), I'm being known (wrong)Thoughts are being understood(wrong) In both Verbs like - like, see, believe ,taste , know and understand are stative so can't be use in any continuous forms..
