- If you havent experienced the benefits of the LMT Defense ambidextrous lower that we call MARS, check out our video that highlights some of the key features. This video covers the 5.56 version dubbed the MARS-L (L meaning Light), but the benefits are mirrored over on the MARS-H (Heavy) system. Whether the shooter is right handed or left handed, the MARS family of weapon systems has enhanced features that will benefit all users.
Best lower out there. Love the ambi implementation. Just wish you guys would make more enhanced 5.56 bolts. And 14.5” barrels.
I prefer the LWRCI ambi lower over LMT, but I like LMT upper is the best.
As a lefty, I love this lower. Bought one to replace my Aero lower and now I’ll probably do that to them all. I do wish their left side mag release was more prominent, sort of like LWRC’s. Even in the video at 1:30 you can see him search for it. Maybe in the future they’ll come up with a bigger paddle you can swap in.
Hard pressed to find anything better than LMT.

Paul Johnson agree to disagree. Most contracts are awarded on the lowest bidder. Look at the engineering that goes into the gen 4 pof’s. Hk416 can’t touch them. Especially dd. I’m biased of course but...

@Lynx Actual who reply’s to a two year old post? And yes, my p415 is light years ahead of my hk416. Ended up selling the hk. Still have the p415. Maybe when you grow up you can actually own cool things too?

The MARS-L is the service rifle of the NZDF (New Zealand Defence force) here in NZ.
It replaced the Steyr AUG. Apparently the AUG had issues with range and stopping power whilst serving in Afghanistan.
Well this has worse ballistics so it must be a different reason
They shoot the same cartridge so that statement is incorrect.
@@CaptainCreampie69 the AUG has a 20 inch barrel and this has 14.5
I think Estonians use it as a service rifle aswell.

Gunbroker gets them all the time . I got mine before the Wuhan And it was "normal" priced . You could probably find one on there if you set up an alert what you're going to pay who knows

Do you guys think you will ever come out with a enhanced bolt Carrier that has a more modern coating on it? Like NP3 or Nitride? Something that is easier to clean then phosphate? Or is that a no go because of military contracts?
I’m curious about this. LWRC has some type of non phosphate coating I think, still would buy an LMT
@@flonga1 hmm between my lwrc rifles, and my one lmt(its just the single example I could have gotten a bad one) I would go with lwrc, fit and finish, and quality control are much higher on my lwrc rifles. Also I am very happy with POF-USA, I own a few of their rifles as well. The upper and all its components are fine on my lmt rifle, but the Mars lower is Shit, and the fit between the upper and lower is loose and rattles. The LMT MARS ambi mag release does not work reliably at all, because you can not push the button in far enough, and the whole lower feels cheap, and not worth the price of admission. I was really disappointed to have spent that much on a gun, and got that little in return.
I dig the gun just wish I could order a 14.5 for same cost as a 16" and not 600 bucks more.... Rooftop Defense code Popeyes

3) the pistol grip is too angled, a smaller angle is better on your wrists, anatomically speaking.
Ergo is good. Want something else? Get something else. Gotta be a few dozen options out there.
