If you watch my streams or VODs you know I have TERRIBLE aim. Thus, I go through a LOT of ammo. Luckily, I found a solution. Come hang out on Twitch sometime. / nazowrin
scrapper + bos power armor/weaponry makes a hell of a lot of steel. plus you can destroy the PA pieces to make it completely weightless, equating to an insane amount of free metal just for killing a bunch of dudes. and you can get the fertilizer from brahmin farming or trading for shipments at abernathy, drumlin, goodneighbor, DC, etc.. plus any 3-4* trader posts at a settlement. edit: or if you are going for bullets needing copper instead (such as with 44 rounds) you can massacre raiders, pick up pipe weapons, and scrap them down for a decent amount of material
They come from your inventory, yea simply out what ever it needs in the one end and anno comes oot the other lol a done this right at the start of ma game an spent a while makin ammo for every type a could apart from the rarer types av never needed to sort about ammo at all (I also done it with my armour and weapons workshops aswell and kitted oot every settler) (plus yea get to make your oown loot to sell at vendors, av made 1000 each of smg gauze rifles an plasma pistols an do regulars shopping trips with them hahaha )
Nice build! I just make a water farm, roughly 10-15 large purifiers at spectacle island. Produces 500-600 purified water per game day. I don’t need caps anymore and empty any traders inventory of shipments or ammo anytime i need. You do need strong back tho, so you can fast travel overencumbered Granted, nowhere near as fun or cool as this, but functional if you’re more of an explorer than a builder as you can just fast travel home to grab a load of “cash”
@@ReYBaXx thats strange, it should increase. It’s never a perfect number as the items say in the workshop though. Could be bugged, maybe try storing them in the workbench and placing them again elsewhere? Also make sure they’re all linked with wire to a sufficient power source for all of them (sounds obvious but ive certainly missed out a cable or generator here and there!)
@@ReYBaXx The water ends up in the Workshop but it has a soft-cap of 200-300. Make sure you take the Purified Water out of the Workshop and then put it in a container. I have a container sitting next to the Workshop in Sanctuary specifically for this.
@@RaiKov this, it does cap off, i think based off how many purifiers you have. So every time you visit a workshop, worth pulling the water out and banking it to keep production going
Didn’t know you could split the recourses between 2 ammo plants and essentially double the crafting rate. Imma need to do this sometime. It would help tremendously with my heavy weapons build and how fast I fly through 5mm.
i just started F4 and haven’t had any issues with ammo. i’m playing on hard mode and just out one point in scrounger perk or whatever that ammo perk is called
Best thing about the creation club content was this factory setup it doesnt get used all that often but simply having it there make your game so much easier to deal with
It's actually pretty easy to come across the scrap though, you just need to know what items contain what you need. Fertilizer is probably the hardest to cone across, but even that becomes passive once you get a few brahmin in.

If you have the science perk and have maxxed it out, you can build a fusion generator. I think it comes with the wasteland workshop dlc. It’s the one that gives like 100 power per generator.
I do have some mods but none that would affect this too much. The Vault Tec Workshop DLC gives you a large underground vault to build in, so I put my factory in there to reduce lag.
My bad. Here's how: 1. Get a power source connected to your producers. 2. Get a Terminal connected to your producers. 3. Set what you want the producers to make with your terminal. 4. Put required resources into the producer. 5. Profit. Everything else like the conveyor belts is just to move everything to a collector so the amount of objects doesn't lag the game. Also, I figured out how to power individual conveyors. There's a specific conveyor type which has just a power connector on it so you can power it.
I feel like I’ve teleported back to 2016 when playing fallout 4 and watching vids was life changing
For 2 years now my vault 88 has been a prison, so having this built there would absolutely fit in my head cannon
alright cool and all but where's your resources for the factory comin from?
yeah, I thought ammo was very expensive

I have an ammo factory at sanctuary that produces so much it lags my whole game even though im on ps5 and even if I’m no where near it

Wasnt this the contraption dlc?
Now if only I could change the caliber because FO4E isn't working.
Isnt ammo production bond to having the needed scrap for the ammo? Or is it making ammo kind of like "out of thin air"?
yes, it need the requirement scrap, every ammo has different scrap needed
