- I decided to dust off al old classic of mine, which is "Cannon Fodder". A game from the 90s I played on the Commodore Amiga. The game works relatively simple but can be very daunting and difficult at times. I decided to also enhance the graphics on each gameplay so it looks a little bit less pixelated, so this gameplay can be forever 'stored' on CZcams. This is a mere classic, and you can actually play it practically for free. You need the free WinUAE emulator, a WHDLoad package (or ADF files), and the only official thing you would need to purchase are the rom files, but if you buy for example an old Cloanto Forever CD-rom, from 2006, you get all those rom files there, and it costs you no more than 2 dollars/euro's. I play along as I go and there are definitely levels I remember, but yes. Let's go. :-)
- Hry
You could maybe try a newer WHDLoad slave of the game, looks like this is the 1.0 version but there's since been 1.1-1.3 updates, and then a bigger 2.0 update in 2018. Also see if a newer WHDLoad client will help (v18.2 that you have came out in 2015 and the latest (v18.9) came out last year)
Would that still keep the Savegame of the game? Otherwise my progress would be gone. Extra information: This WHDLoad is the version that comes with Workbench Classic, the way you get it from classicwb.abime.net/
@@Snowwie88 Might be worth asking the cleverer people at the English Amiga Board for confirmation, but I don't see why the save file *wouldn't* work between versions (if you can find where the save file(s) are stored to copy across). The updated WHDLoad is available on the WHDLoad website (though I'm not 100% sure if you can just run it over the old version - my 2.0 version was 'pre-built'
@@mcbpete I can try it, I already managed to finish Mission 11 on the disk version I have.
