The only thing I remember of this film is being 8/9 years old and terrified of going to the toilet after. Cannot believe my parents picked this for family movie night when I was a kid.
same..i was scared so much then
Lmao same
Lmfao
Yeah that was by far one of the scariest scenes of a movie I saw as a kid. Scarred me. Lol.
Same!!!
I have been looking for this movie for years. I watched it when i was a child and i can barely remember it. It was part of my childhood's fears and now I finally have found it again.
Yes, I was too traumatized by this movie when I was around 7 years old, I'm so glad I finally found it again and remembering how traumatizing it was...
Is this the only time ILM did for a warner bros movie(not counting kong skull island)
I saw the movie when I was 11 and I remember how stupid it was.
I think the word your looking for is mesmerized... Anything traumatizing isn't typically associated with feelings of glad and happy.
good thing you didn't see "THE EXORCIST" @ that age...i'm 56 & that movie to this day gives me the heebee geebee's!!!
I personally love this movie, no matter what everyone says. It's bizarre, bonkers and idiotic at times, but it's enjoyable for its downright absurdity IMO!!
Completely agree. So many people hate it and I guess I can see why. It's a guilty pleasure for me. I just love it, bad or not.
I'm just here and i find interesting how i never remembered the bathroom situation, i remember other scenes more, maybe my brain deleted the memories to protect itself Lol
What’s crazy is I remember the bathroom scene only from the ending of a VHS tape of Signs by M Night Shyamalan
My name is Jerome McIntyre the 3rd
We had a real dreamcatcher situation in Rhode island
The government is not aware of what's going on
This is a true story in Rhode island
Highly underrated movie, i don't understand why
Because it's revealing the truth. Critics were ordered to destroy it.
@@indifferentone8991 What truth?
@dusankostic6401 The cabin Is a real place and there's been reports of people going to the bathroom and then...
The narrator's voice is scarier than the real movie.
You know when a movies old when you have someone talking over a movie trailer all ominous and creepy.
Old? 2003 was not THAT long time ago!
@@SatanenPerkele well they don’t narrate the trailers like that as of now, and it’s about 19 years old now that’s pretty old it’s a lot of time passed by.
@@SatanenPerkele Well it's old enough to buy a pack of smokes & enjoy a good lay...
I can never forget this movie. It traumatized me
Same
Agreed. It was that bad.
Mother of Jesus the lord and the king of all Earth. Years after years, i found and found nothing just to realize it is right in front of my nose.
I found it guys. I found the movie after over 10 years.
I know the feeling, just found it now... more like 7 years for me
***** The fucking translators in my country name the movie. "Nightmare in the wood", i only realize this movie after seeing the dreamcatcher
samee
yup I had the same problem...could only hear the title "Desperation" in my head but me knew that was wrong
I found it typing "alien movie peeing on snow" hilariously enough.
I love this movie. To hell with the critics opinions and rotten tomatometer scores!
Liked the setup, the acting and hell the ending was actually pretty good. Its a damn shame how critics just dont understand some of these movies.
Omg i Found this film after 7 years...Best movie of my childhood...
I remember watching this movie as a kid I loved the movie
I still do
I love this movie no matter what anyone says
Hahahaha
@@rainnnnnn372 Shaddup Sarah.
@@jmdnelson4891 I can't help it loool I'll never forget how big those ppls a**holes were! If that's your one of your favs, then to each their own hahahahahhahahahhah
@@jmdnelson4891 🤣🤣
This movie honestly isn't bad.
Maybe I don't understand the criticism because I haven't read the novel but come on. This movie is entertaining. It delivers its plot in a clear cut and nicely flowing manner. It isn't just mindless action and talking heads. Plus its able to convey the emotions of the victims of the invasion and how people are being affected by it.
Maybe people hate the movie because it isnt exactly like Stephen Kings book to the exact detail, which is incredibly unfair to the medium. If everything was like the book the movie would be hours upon hours
This movie is closer to King's books than most of movies I've seen based on his books.
That's actually one of the issues with the movie is it's a lot closer to the book. And Stephen King ended up not liking the book he wrote it under the influence of Oxys and alcohol as he was recovering from a car accident
This movie has an excellent atmospheric first half, and a very moderate second half!
Very well said .
The movie is solid for the first 35 mins then falls off
@@raystinkle4652 Is this movie ends on some sort of fight inside a dam or source water shed or something ? If yes, that was also a stunning piece of action there and a great photography.
@@12345fowler yes, same movie. I thought it got more ridiculous as the movie went on and just became a cheesy alien flic.
Thanks, that was a scene I found well done, among some others as well.
I just finished the book and it was absolutely amazing
i can’t believe i still remember the name of this movie til this day. this is probably one of few i can fully remember as a kid
I watched this movie when I was young. maybe 7 yo and I asked my mom why the old man fart so much and died in toilet afterwards. Funny, she answered to me that he ate to much lasagna.
would you say you were too young to have seen this?
Lmao
this movie scared the crap out of me
The trailer for this movie is really good, it's one you can just watch over again.
One of my favorite guilty pleasure movies. It's off the rails insanity and the book is even crazier.
saw this trailer when I was a kid, for some reason that freaky smile at 1:11 scared the shit out of me
Today I got a dreamcatcher as a gift and as I was hanging it at my place, it unlocked the trauma of watching this movie as a kid and being terrified of it for weeks. Now I'm here in 2023 watching this video trying to remember what exactly traumatized me so much.
For me it was because i had a strong imagination every time i had a really bad stomach ache it would remind me of having an alien in your stomach
There are some things that I wish the book added onto this film, like as if when Mr. Grey ate bacon for the first time, just a comical scene would've been funny.
***** I agree, I liked those little details. They made you hate him even more, ya know?
ANoteToSelf Yeah, but still a amazing film in my opinion!
***** It was pretty good until Duddits became an alien... That was a big no in my book. lol
ANoteToSelf Yep, I would've preferred that sad part where he passed away in front of Henry. Ah, Duddits was a amazing character.
+Michael Toy Same! The way King wrote Duddits was way more special. I feel like he genuinely got the essence of how amazing special needs people really are. :)
I have just started reading the book and I already love it so far
did ya fuicking finish it 5 years later?
@@bestreviews9666I got this book book about a week ago. And I already have only about a 100 pages left. It’s so good
Man this movie was scary asf and good to, was 17 when it released.
I remember watching Cabin Fever in 2002 but it was small child compared to this.
Lol cabin fever my movie
Best comedy of 2003.....
I watched this by chance during a business trip.
Brilliant
Never watched this movie but I always seen the commerical as a kid lol and use to be scared asf at my dad house 😂 I'm definitely watching it now 💯
Liked for the username
Reading the book atm ITS SO GOOD
Me too. I'm a king fan but for some reason this film never made headlines for me but I'm hooked on this book .. even though it's like 27,000 pages lol
Stephen King wrote the book while he was recuperating in bed after he got hit by a van, he actually doesn't like to book very much because he was on Oxy while writing it.
I remember seeing this movie when I was young and started great but then I got so bored I almost fell asleep. The premise did seem interesting enough as to making me remember a few scenes until today.
Same. But now as a 32 year old I'm trying again.
This is Event Horizon underrated
I remember being scared of Damian Lewis after watching this. Also am I the only one who noticed that Thomas Jane was in a lot of Stephen King films?
I'm the only one who love the movie
i liked it
I'm bout to try it despite all the "the book is better, this is the worst movie" comments
I like it too, I mean the book may be better but I didn't read the whole thing in fact I started reading it last weekend
Any book is better than movie. But I like this movie too.......
I love it too and I haven't watch it and I want to watch it.
Never read the book but this movie was good.
+serenekyogre The movie was better than the book in areas..
One of my favorites
My dad made me read this book and I was so hyped to watch the movie totally blown my mind both not what I expected lol I was probably 12 lol
I remember watching this as a kid and being sceard shitless lol
Anyone noticed 1:53, Leauge of Legends match found noise?
XD
exactly the same
yah, i actualy played it back to make sure its the same sound as league of legends match found noise, i thought im the one who notice that sound. LOL
+Axonius Hun LOL i had my league client open thought a match was found
+Axonius Hun Even to this day, we believe our league clients are open and finding us matches.
Ok now I’m sure the real world getting like this film don’t you think?
I, Duddits!
It's funny, I'm third season into the show billions and I knew that I have seen Damian Lewis in something but I knew I'd never seen him in any television show or movie before this, and then I realized it's literally this trailer, of a movie I never saw, that I remembered him from. The quick weird abrupt smile is the scene I remember him and it's been killing me for three seasons of billions
About to watch this for the first time, I was told I should be ashamed of myself for not seeing it already 😂
It's weird but good weird. I liked it. Watch it.
Note: I think Duddits picked that name just for *THAT* moment.
from what I remember this was a good film. currently reading the book and finding it is really very good. I was expecting a bit of a lemon as King himself has said he doesn't think much of it but my theory is he was so drugged up and miserable when he wrote it that the experience may have made it hard for him to be impartial. just a theory!
+EssexSpark just a theory! a Book theory :3
+EternalGaming786 thanks for watching
This movie is so creepy and scary especially when the alien tries to break down the door
I just found this movie after suddenly remembering the name Gray. Imagine how frustrating it is to find Grey/Gray and alien movie in Google! All shows those 50 shades and typical alien faces 😂 Finally get the title, just realized after watching the trailer that today is March 21 aka the movie's anniversary! What a coincidence
got Discord?
I saw this movie as a kid and only remembered something about Aliens and dream catchers
I think I was 5 when I first saw this, I remember being scared at one scene where he's like shoot it shoot it, lol I thought it was die another day as a kid, I'm 18 now and yes it took me that long to find the movie 🙏
Only a 5.5 on IMDB? It was very entertaining for me.
Came here cuz i watched this too as a kid.... damn theres so many of us... feel old yet?
i m reading the book and i will see the movie when i m done with it.
Did you ever finish that book fam?
We can definitely file this movie under "unfairly panned". It had a strange, quirky charm that sets it apart from the run-of-the-mill sci fi horror movies.
Oh yeah, one of those movies I watched a few times and loved it, and then proceeded to completely forget that it even existed until randomly thinking the phrase "I duddits!" and wondering what in the HHEEELLLLLLLLL I could have remembered that from, googled here and there, and now I have to watch this again.
This is one of my favorite movie trailers.
I searched "same shit different day" to find this one.
RYDER
SSDD mane
Morgan Freeman's in it.
You know it will be good.
Didnt he touch women?
It has passed passed a long time but his movie didn't let me sleep when I was a kid for some reason 😂
Thats because you were a kid. Children don't have fully developed brains until around 20 yrs. old. They are not capable of moderation or making rational decisions. They can do normal things but as we all know life changes dramatically as we get older (at least for some lol). This is why there are a lot of teen accidents when driving, and in my personal opinion they should not be allowed to join the military until 2
I only remember the toilet scene as a child while my parents had a movie night
Great movie got the dvd!!
Que película mas antigua, pero buena.
Just found out this was filmed 100m from where I live so I thought I would check it out
Wow it’s crazy how everyone in the comments is just like me, we all watched this movie at a young age 6-10yrs , I was 8-9 when I watched this . one vivid thing we remember is the toilet scene lol
I really like this film for its weirdness.
one of my fave horror sci-fi
Wow can't believe that this movie came out when i was at 19!!! And i didn't know about it just wow!!
AWESOME MOVIE!!! LOVE IT :-)
5/5 STARS... I recommend everyone to watch it at least once.
j Smith how was it? Im thinking about checking it myself
Those two sound effects that the trailer uses over and over again
kickass.to bought me here
:( seized
Aliens. Had not read the book but was. Not expecting freaking aliens. I love a thing other worldly. Good movie. Saw it many years ago and it stuck with me. Creepy and mind fucky.
I didn’t know this movie existed but I’m reading the book and it’s pretty good
I just bought the movie on a fleemarket. I will build my own opinion when I see it.
***** Well, I think the movie was ok. The beginning was very good and when the alien came I was excited however this military stuff later was a bit annoying. The stupiest thing in the movie was that Morgan Freeman and Tome Sizemore killed each other for no reason. In the end was it a movie you can see one time but you don't have to watch it again.
MikeSully They did?! Aw, a shit-weasel was supposed to kill Sizemore.
Poly Nikes #therelic
goddamn FINALY FOUND THIS MOVIE AFTER DAYS AND DAYS OF THINKING XD
Funny how people are coming here saying this movie is either a 1/5 or 5/5.
The book is much better, well every Stephen king book is.
I've read the book, watched the movie when I was a kid, yup the book ten times better.
This always scared me when I was kid
I remember being scared of this movie for some reason. I didn't even see the movie until today, Halloween's Eve, and regret watching it 😂😂😂😂
when i first watched the trailer, i knew i had to watch it and when i did, a little unexpected and surprising but i still liked it.
1:12 ye boi
I liked the movie years ago and still do
The way this movie shaped my family. Any time we see red trees in the fall we say the butt aliens are coming. 😂😂
I remember watching this commercial as a kid used to creep me out😂😂😂
almost 14 yeas since ive watch this when i was a in highschool
I enjoyed both book & movie.
I like this movie!
Remember this movie
I'm going to sound like everyone ever, but the book truly is better than the movie. If you're curious about the book don't hesitate to watch the review I just put up of it. And please ignore the fact that I just shamlessly promoted myself.lol
I'll check out the book then. I loved this movie. It's my favorite Stephen King movie by far.
James MacKinnon It's a good one. You'll love the book even more, if you really enjoyed the movie!
After so many years, I had the courage to search "alien movie with a dreamcatcher" and this is what I got, "Dreamcatcher". 😂 Such a good horror flick, but that's just me.
The trailer seems to follow the book! I think I'll watch it
Watching again after 20 years airing
I love the beginning, I thought it is a mind puzzling movie with a genius touch but meeeh when the alien comes out, aughh it became one of those shittiest alien movie. I wish it would have been stayed where they have their own talent/powers than the alien thing.
Muito bom!
This film is great, the haters really are buffoons
This movie used to be a fever dream to me😭
got Discord?
Awesome movie. 1:12 That face.
Just finished the book. Clear to me this should be a miniseries
I never read this one or seen the movie. but I believe a large portion of kings books that where made into movies, all have that in common. especially the dark tower. it had the potential to be one of the greatest series of all time in its genre, and trying to fit all of that writing throughout 12 years into one single movie?!? absolutely ludicrous. I hope one day some producer does that story justice
Way underrated!
Best movie ever !
Good Film ☺ I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the book as well. Stephen King is a good writer, but sucks at adapting his books for the big screen and tv. One only has to compare Kubricks version of the Shining (yes, I know he changed a few things), with Kings version. Although Kings version is obviously more faithful to the original book, it sucked and was quite dull.
Never read book but movie was good
taking an alien shit is off my bucketlist👌
Finally found it!! 😂🤣
