    This was uploaded directly from the phone using the CZcams app, no edits just a nice raw video upload.

    Doesn't really matter as CZcams compresses your video to h264 anyways. Will make a difference in editing and color grading

    my 13 pro max seems to have compression issues when shooting 4k60 in dolby vision. There is a shimmery noise effect when panning the camera around in that mode... and only that mode. Does yours do that? You can really see it on things like trees and gravel...anything with complex textures. It's worse in bright light.

    • @winterwolfryan
      @winterwolfryan Před rokem

      @Inside ruins Actually, yes. After talking with multiple senior Apple techs, it would appear Apple fixed the issue with iOS 16. Since updating to the public release, the issue has been completely resolved. Not gonna say I had something to do with it, but the timing is ironic... All I can say is I'm very very happy the issue was resolved - the footage looks absolutely beautiful now.

    • @winterwolfryan
      @winterwolfryan Před rokem

      @Inside ruins Strange, I never had any issues with 4k30p. I only had issues with 4K60P - and only when shooting HDR. That sucks you can't update the phone... have you tried doing it through a computer insead of over the air? Also - If the footage looks strange, I would suggest turning off HDR video in the camera setting. Better to have usable footage in non-hdr than compromised footage in HDR. You could also attempt shooting in HD, and see if that changes anything. If the phone is still shooting strongly in all these different scenarios, something is wrong with either the software or the phone - try doing a full shut down, and if that doesn't work you really need to reinstall the OS (and try to get iOS 16 if possible when doing so). Hope that helps... PS: If I were shooting ruins in Mexico, I would personally shoot in 60fps. Smoother footage, and the ability to slow it down if editing in a 30fps timeline. I tend to think that scenic video looks better running at a full 60fps, however. Gets rid of the jittery motion when panning.

It's been 24 hours since I uploaded the video and the max resolution for it at the moment is 1080p 60 FPS with no HDR. I also uploaded directly from the phone using the CZcams app.

    Hi Sam, cool video. I am a beginner - I love the look of HDR and I am thinking of buying an iphone 13. I have started to do some research on youtube and it seems to be more complicated than I thought. I hope might be kind enough to answer a question.

      @Zecos Před 2 lety +1

      Well I don’t know about that, but I also had this concern on how I can shoot, then share and upload HDR videos - so there was this video I saw that you shoot in hdr then you import the footage into iMovie (iPhone and iPad) and don’t edit it one bit - then when exporting it from the “options” menu select SDR - I still preserves most of the detail and quality but now it’s in a shareable format - I still haven’t tried this bcz I’m going to buy my 13 in a few weeks - but maybe it works

I was done with iphone but come on man this walks on all androids at the moment without effort. Maybe the xperia pro-i will have something to say in a week on public release and POSSIBLY the s22 ultra in a couple months but this is 100% the best video you can get on a mobile phone right now hands down if thats all your looking at.
