Wrong, they also did a 4.0 litre ML400 diesel but it wasn't sold in the UK. My dad had one back when we lived in Europe. Fucking power under that bonnet, mate. I want to buy an ML400 engine from Ebay and put it into my ML270
Its coz the bolts ur using are A2, stainless grade ; quite soft ,, change them all the zinc , will have 10.9 stamped into head , wont have same problem

Agree! 100% if I would do a trip to the Ring, I will use water + waterwetter, dropping coolant is the worst thing you can do, not worth the risk

Just a practical one, consider Torx head bolts instead of Allen key ones. Much less prone to get stripped head.
XC70 was my guess haha never would have thought of the merc tbh!
The petrol cost thing depends on your annual mileage, there's plenty of legit 60mpg diesels around and they'd be better for towing as well....

ML 270 cdi is indestructible and if i gonna chose a suv it's a ML 270 cdi 2003-2005 automatic gearbox (sorry for my bad english lol)

To tow more than 750kgs you need the BE category and yes you need to do a separate test.
@@duckscrossingtheroad Not quite right its up to 750kg or total train weight up to 3500 kg. So that ML + trailer + MR2 will be under 3500
