Blackie Lawless is a born again christian. Blackie was never satanic. His lyrics may have been interpreted as satanic but they are far from it. His songwriting is fantastic. You need to actually read some of the meanings of those songs. A lot of his later songs have political meaning. He also wrote a song "Trail of Tears" which is about the actual trail of tears which so many native americans died during that march. "Heavens Hung in Black" he wrote about a statement that Abraham Lincoln made while touring the Gettysburg battlefield and seeing all the dead. Lincoln said, "Heaven must surely be hung in black this day." Its a great song.

From The Headless Children onwards Blackie got more serious and political. He became a born again Christian at the age of 11 and later got into the occult for 3 years before W.A.S.P. then realised that it was just another organised religion and stayed away from his faith for 20 years. They are not a Christian band. They are also touring this year celebrating 40 years. Blackie is so underrated, he has the best voice in metal. None of their songs are satanic.

Blackie won't even perform some of his old songs now.
The only song he won't perform is Animal cos of his beliefs but he is thinking of doing it on their world tour. He is not sure yet.
