Also the 73% ball click in sword dance used to be a frame perfect
And its first victor happened 3 full years after its verification
A small defend for Maverick Bird is that it was made in 1.7, before the outline block exist in 1.8. The outline was made by using the colored block and put it in black blending (But even then it's still eh so whatever)
Also, Dynamix on Track used to be way harder than today version but still had a 5 stars featured for some reason. So, the creator came back to nerf it (and failed) and add text to it. The lvl is bad, yes, but it's much better and it used to be
Geometry Map 8 AUTO was actually updated in 1.9. The 2.0 Update Maybe text was the only change made in 2.0, but it hints that the original plan was to make it even worse in the future.

Crepuscule Challenge was originally a completely different level that was decent for its time, but the creator changed the entire level in 2.1 for some reason.
I think theres a rated level that was literally just an unaltered copy of another flappy bird level. The worst part is that the original is rated hard 5 star but the copy is rated 9 star????
The Castle was rated due to Viprin accidentally sending it and RobTop just rating it because Viprin sent it
also it wasn't just 2.1, it was late 2019, it was after the standards were not just higher, but way higher than early 2.1

16:40 This level is pretty famous for having been updated multiple times. I believe it used to be a pretty standard remake of Dry Out, but was later updated to whatever the hell it is now.
Honestly I don't think levels should ever be update locked. If a creator wants to update their level, let them. It is their level. So what if they ruin it, it's their level let them do what they want with it.

I just wanted to say that sword dance it’s that bad when you practice it, it’s so consistant that you get to the drop almost every attempt, it’s kinda fun ngl
A level that I haven’t bothered to comment here about for a while is Steam Blaster by Pollapo. It has… a random frame perfect: ☑️ a frame rate bug: ☑️ a skip: ☑️ a frame-rate-based skip: ☑️ a frame-rate based skip to skip that random frame perfect: ☑️. What’s going is that at roughly 2%, there’s a 60FPS frame perfect that is only skippable on that frame rate, which i believe may be possibly intentional, which is because of the randomness of it. Another thing at the start is that there’s a slope where wether or not you have to click is based on when you did a certain click a little earlier in the level.
With 2.2 coming out soon, in my opinion, loads of levels made would be really shitty trying to experiment with things like camera triggers, but my biggest fear is old levels that will be updated to be SIGNIFICANTLY worse.
Not sure if anyone else has brought it up, but there’s a weird level called “Back on Madness” that is literally just Stereo Madness and Back on Track on top of each other.

It's edited a lot... but that's a good thing because SM and BoT on top of each other would be physically impossible unedited if I remember my own experience with that correctly
With Alcatraz, I think there should be that update lock, but also an update request for rated levels. So when, example, the creator of a list demon wants to nerf his level to an enjoyable state, the update passes through an update team that looks inside the update and checks whether the level should be updated, passed through some parameters.

24:23 this bossfight and the part after it shows that The Castle is also a REALLY bad ripoff of Phantom by TheRealSalad
the blood room is a genuinely incredibly intriguing level in so many ways. The skull art copypasted around the level was ripped straight from the 1.9 level " screamroom " (yes there are spaces) by GMD Condor. Not just that, sebas' ENTIRE part is basically a comically shoddy bootleg of the screamroom drop. Another funny fact about the level is that years later, the creator actually admitted to having hack verified it, which is pretty obvious i mean just look at the gameplay good lord (its also one of the worst featured levels by far which doesnt come as a surprise the only other featured level that comes close to this level of ugliness is Colour Frenzy)

Also Viprin himself said that people shouldn't hate on the creator because robtop rated it and is not the creator's fault lol
There was a level that was rated that was called "A DarkWorld" It was made in 1.3, however the creator would update it the level on weekends every week and every update continuesly until The creator (dam geometry) would quit the game in 2.1 and the level would be unrated and is in THE WORST condition now
Also a quick thing to note about sem 3 is that in the wave at 45% you can actually slide on the bottom despite there being spikes (mainly at 38%).
If I remember correctly, the Alcatraz meme update was going to be reverted but it got update locked lol.
Stalker, Grizzly and Infernoplex are also contenders for this list. They are basically the brothers to the blood room and Sword Dance
While practicing I found a secret way in theory of relativity but it kills you at 20 something percent

There’s this one 1.9 level that’s like 5 or 6 star rated, unfeatured, that i remember playing years ago and it began with this 0.5x speed wave that had like 4 half space wave gaps in a row, I just can’t remember the name of it it’s a bit of a mystery to me and was just wondering if anyone knew the one i’m talking about. The spikes are red and the whole level is pretty dark

One level I think people are too harsh on is Impact X: I've gotta tell you, it's got the best gameplay early 2.1 had to offer. I really enjoy rebeating it. And the deco is passable.

on 60hz, have impossible ships and buggy gameplay, but no frame perfects; or
on 90hz, have doable ships and buggy gameplay, but there's a frame perfect at 70%?
this was my dilemma for the *8☆* , corrupted kingdom by blazejcy.
map pack levels are shockingly bad, and horribly misrated in a lot of cases. some 7☆'s have taken me more attempts than demons.

Dynamic on track is also impossible if you pick up the LDM item as it removes an entire platform which is needed for a jump

you should definitely try edilberto basic. It has the most unbalanced and hard gameplay for a 4 star and it somehow got rated. This was made in 2.1 and it has the decoration of a 1.6 level.

Someone else brought this up, but the reason Maverick Bird is rated despite only having outline blocks is because it was made before the outline blocks were added. Does it make it good? No, but it’s very, very unique for the time.

I think update locking levels after a certain amount of time is prob not the best idea cos I can't tell u how much it sucks to have a level out for months and then out of nowhere u find a gp/visual bug or even a really bad skip or secret way

Surprised you didn’t mention the infamous 144 hz frame ball click in sword dance which is basically the only reason the level is somewhat well known, though there was nerfdated a while ago nerfing the click. Also fun fact the level was hack verified and took years to actually be beaten because of the abysmal gameplay and ball choke point.
Oh also if you ever plan on making a sequel to this video seeing that the comments seemingly have an endless amount of more dogshit level I suggest checking out the insane demon “Stalker”.
Here is a solution to the whole update thing. Have the updated version of the level be unrated and separate from the original rated version. After the update is rated it is a part of the rated level. Maybe something for 2.3?

While definitely not the worse ever, Hellish Melody by RoWey is really bad, the decoration isn't too bad in some parts but what makes it so bad is the confusing and awkward memory gameplay, some parts it isn't memory, some parts it has random invisible teleport portals and orbs with no discernable reason. In general, this level looks really unfun and has some lackluster parts deco-wise.
I actually made it pass the bug before a mod updated it… and then died a 93%

Ah I just realised I put a space in the name when suggesting a level on the last vid, which was DarkDream (by 2Fresh4You), still def the worst rated level but you may check it out in your own time lol.
Oh also, every level pre 60mil ID is now update locked unless a mod allows it, so old levels shouldn't get random updates anymore.
I recently decided to beat the top 10 hardest hard rated levels, and I honestly believe that Gravity - Zero by Zobros is the worst rated level in the game. Genuinely the most PAINFUL level to play, it doesn’t work 50% of the time, and because of that, I think it is harder than “Dont Rate this Level” which is considered #1

i actually think its about as bad as "how to clutterfunk", since both of them are just robtop level copyables changing a singular thing.
htc changes the song, while invisible deadlocked just adds an alpha trigger at the start.
actually, clutterfunk could even be better, since finding a song like a guy humming clutterfunk is probably at least somewhat of a challenge, while there is no challenge to adding an alpha trigger to a copyable.

Idk if someone already mentioned it in the comments, but my take is „Lunar Ocean“ by Gelt, it used to be a decent and casual 1.9 level, but the creator buffed it way too much. This level is being universally hated, cause it‘s in a map pack

The worst rated level is Stereo Madness v4 imo. At least how to clutterfunk, or any ugly/bad gameplay level in this video doesnt directly cause you physical pain. But stereo madness v4 is genuinely headache inducing and hard to look at, as well as having very unoriginal gameplay (slightly buffed stereo madness)

Yeah, for some reason Snivy decided to rip Clutterfunk straight from the game files to make it, instead of just using an online copyable. That’s why his level isn’t shown as copied.
So he did put slightly more effort than just copying someone else’s copyable version of it, but obviously that’s still not enough effort to warrant a rate. Lol
ok, so I think "rainbow orange" by Zellink is the worst rated level (worse than how to clutterfunk) because AT LEAST, how to clutterfunk was a copy of a very iconic level with a funny/stupid song, but rainbow orange was literally a copy of a level no one knows about and has the exact same name made by the exact same creator, and the only difference is the song which was literally changed form dry out to cycles.
Just wanted to point out Neon Cinema was actually almost impossible with the bug, and I actually emailed the guy and then he fixed, hooray I guess

If you make a second video about this, I would suggest Cavalcade Evolution & A New Era by Ghostface. A New Era is the classic 2.0 style, and Cavalcade Evolution has some of the worst gameplay imaginable. Ghostface was a very good creator in 1.9, but his 2.0 levels sucked. He's currently recovering from it in the form of generic glow levels.
Why do you find Sword Dance so bad tho? Sure it has random difficulty spikes but what's bad about the memory parts?

Hot Dog Redux by Kr1t is the DeCode UFO copypasted through the whole level and decorated, and in many parts the decoration is just awful. It's clearly a joke level so I have no clue why it got rated.

its funny to see so many more people complaining about bad level getting rated than good ones not. everyone act like its the "rate standards" that are the problem its really just that one guy doesn't have enough time to look at every finished full level. at the end of the dat too it doesn't effect anyone really if a bad level gets rated. people don't want better rated levels, they want something to yell at.
