- A HUGE episode for you all today. We were joined by my mate and former teammate, Big Troy Deeney! Troy was down at Mill Street Studios just days after making a move to his boyhood team Birmingham City FC. Troy tells us about his 11 years at Watford, the best and worst manager he worked under and explained what prison is really like. As ever, Troy wasn’t backwards in coming forwards and even gave us a couple of exclusives. I hope you enjoy this as much as we did.

Really hit home this one as regards Troy's children and how best to deal with telling them about prison. I was at Leeds Utd as a teenager but fell into drugs and blew everything. I went on to serve numerous jail terms myself. So to listen to how someone else dealt with explaining things to THEIR kids is really intriguing.. I'm all good now by the way. Great channel. Keep up the good work boys.

When I was like 17 I worked at a hotel that did Watford's end-of-season awards night. Remember Troy being absolutely sound to me and all the staff! All the best to him at his boyhood club - class act!

Wow this has just changed my outlook on footballers and I know I can’t expect all footballers to be as straight up as foz and deeney cus I know the majority aren’t... but my god how down to Earth Troy is, is breathtaking giving Ben his dues and what not. I’m not a fan of podcasts but I’m gonna keep coming back for more if you have the right guests on. I just love seeing footballers have their media shells broken down it warms me inside!

The 'Deeney' goal has always made me cry. I'm a Manchester United lad Teaching in Cambodia and I always show that goal at some point. I have to turn the lights off in case I choke (I always choke) it's so powerful. So to find out what an absolute gem of a man he truly is, is epic! I wish all of you a life of endless joy.

Best podcast I’ve watched in recent times. Ben and the blonde geezer are top at letting the guest speak. No talking over each-other which grinds my gears. It would be good if you got someone like boaz myhill on and talk about the WBA days.

As a West Ham fan I had to applaud a goal that he scored at the London Stadium.
My favourite Troy goal that tied us 2-2 just before half time, after being 2-0 down, went on to win 2-4.

I have to admit, I knew very little about Troy, and as is often the case with football, I'd already made my mind up I didn't like the guy and that was that, but this podcast has completely changed my mind, what a really nice, modest, down to earth fella, really enjoyed this one lads

got to say, i'm a Stoke fan. Since the incident with Joe Allen, i thought Troy was a bellend. This podcast and also the one with Tubes has proved me so wrong. what a great guy and down to earth.
