EDC Attendee - What's most comical about this is the skydeck I saw (next to the Circuit Grounds stage) - the entrance was RIGHT NEXT to the GA bar; at which you could get a bottle of water for like $6-9 and a drink for $15-30. Still outrageous prices but it would've been exponentially cheaper to just walk 20ft down stairs rather than do bottle service lol.

We got to Vegas speedway and didn’t feed us or give water and had us working security from the entry all the way to the VIP section. @@johndoe1274 I’ve been out for a few years now and am going to college, but learned from that to never volunteer in the military, I could’ve stayed back at the bricks and drank instead lol
Screw smuggling drinks in. I would leave and go buy $500 worth of alcohol and water and start selling it outside the perimeter to undercut them hard. Probably could make a few thousand depending on how pack it is.

There is free water throughout the festival for GA - if you want a bottle its like 9 bucks. Cocktails with doubles going for 35. Its VIP in Las Vegas. As a local, I know this is a place where rich people blow as much money as possible. We see it everyday. Add a festival, its eggs and bacon. This is not a Woodstock 99 greed festival with this level of prices everywhere. You see these prices at almost every VIP section club in Vegas year-round.
I literally make $90 a day. The fact that an entire day of me doing back-breaking labor equates to a single pack of water to these people makes me irrationally upset 😞.
For like half the price of one bottle of henny you can literally buy a handle of each of the liquors listed and a 24pk of each beer that’s the most criminal upcharge I’ve ever seen.
Doesn't excuse the fact that Insomniac is barely regulated and they get away with non-sense. I don't care if the VIP lounge is scamming influencers or well off people but if they are doing this to them what are they doing to regular GA pass holders?
Money making tip: buy 5 cases of 40 water bottles from the nearest gas station and bring them to that event, sell each bottle for like $10 a pop and boom 2k in the bag
Where I'm from (Egypt),You can get a 400ml water bottle for about 12 EGP which translates to about 0.2$ or something along that range, and good water at that I'm not even kidding
Bro where i'm from you can drink the tapwater and it's much better controlled than bottled water. And 1 liter is 0,2 cent. Which means for a buck you get 500 Liter best quality water from the Eifel.😂 Find it allways strange on vacation to not be able to use the fucking water out a tap. What's even the pointe if this shit will make you sick? It's pretty easy, don't use your watersource as a fucking dumpside. 😅 Unbelievable. If you visit Europe you can drink tapwater.
Okay I went to EDC, that is only for VIP bottle service, which is already crazy expensive, most things were like normal event prices, I brought a water pack because they have filling stations.

Did they not have the water stations this year?

I feel like yeah if you are high profile enough you can just have someone run stuff for you or even tell them to go fuck themselves with the prices and they'll knock it back.
I worked security for the edc for a company called CISS or CIS back in 2018. I was active duty in the USMC and the company promised to pay everyone there and pay for our ball tickets (shocker, they didn’t and then complained that we were bad workers because we slept once we got back to the hotel and over 70% of us didn’t go back for a 18-20 hour shift with no food or water). We got to Vegas speedway and didn’t feed us or give water and had us working security from the entry all the way to the VIP section. The amount of people with their parents credit cards was insane, people would drop this kind of money for a bottle of jack and vodka.

This reminds me of the Spongebob movie where when Mr. Krabs saw that King Neptune was coming to the Krusty Krab he added a few extra 0s to everything on the menu
Thats only at that skydeck bar. There's free water areas that are spread out very well and are easily accessible by waiting in line for a bit.

1 Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you. 2 Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. 3 Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. *You have hoarded wealth in the last days.* 4 Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty. 5 *You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter.*
