    I highly recommend putting keiki paste on your Hoyas to see a lot of growth quickly. I use a needle to poke the nodes several times then apply the paste. Works beautifully.

    Hi Trish, it's official, you are now a proper HOYA HEAD!! So awesome, I love your new additions, they are sooooooooooooooo addictive!! I just got the Hoya Caudata Silver, OMG, the leaves are AWESOME!! I'm looking forward to your updates on these beauties.

      I am sooooo loving the silver one. I think that it is so interesting. I believe I will be looking for more silver versions to add to my collection along with variegated. Just love the contrast of these.

    The wayettii variegated form gets gorgeous leaves with very bright light!

      So appreciate your giving me the name that way! And I think I will ease it into brighter light as it grows. Found two more new leaves on it this morning! 🌸

    Love your Hoyas! I haven't had luck with them. Probably a good thing since my orchid addiction is outta hand.😅

      😂😂yes I see why they call it Hoya Head as I am already on the lookout for more. But to be fair, I am showing great restraint in not purchasing more at the moment. 🌸🌸❤️

    I don't have a hoya problem but watched anyway. My one ancient hoya is blooming now.

    I just found your channel. I love your energy! Your Hoya are beautiful 🤩. I so need to learn how to trellis my Hoya babies. Do you have a video on that? If not, please do one 🙏🏻♥️

    Hoya Carnosa Wilbur Graves is very pretty indeed, and as it is a Hoya Carnosa it is similar in needs as some of the Hoya that you already have! They are a bit pricy indeed, but not difficult in care 😉
    For Lacunosa/Krohniana silver/splash/eskimo… I tend to keep the name that I bought the plant as (unless the flower is entirely different from that is should be.
    “Basic” Hoya… hmm…
    Crassipetiolata
    Curtisii
    Fitchii
    Heushkeliana
    Linearis
    Mathilde
    Rebecca (the flower scent is amazing)

      Oh the choices 😂❤️🌸 Thank you 🙏 And now that you informed me that the care is similar to the carnosa…well I may have to ask for Me Wilbur as gift 🎁 😂🌸

    I agree not to repot the australis Lisa yet. Remember that Hoya love small pots and to be root bound. The Hoyas that I have wanted to grow big and have put in larger pots spend two years filling that pot with roots before it really starts to grow. The ones I keep in 3 inch pots get huge.

  • @Sahmantha40

    I have 36 Hoya. They are addictive.
    People say “Keri” and others say “Kerry-eye”. I first heard it, pronounced the latter so I tend to pronounce them that way. But I have heard Hoya experts and other countries pronounce it without the extra “eye” I think it has to do with what country you’re from and since we in English would say that is being some extra sound by the way it spelled, that’s how we pronounce it.

    • @tarot-plants-mentalmoods
      @tarot-plants-mentalmoods Před měsícem +1

      Yes the "I" is always pronounced...hence the 2 i(s) at the end.....kerrii (care-e-i).....they are normally names from the location where they are found in Indonesia (mostly).....sometimes named after who discovered them.

    • @TrishsOrchidLife
      @TrishsOrchidLife  Před měsícem

      @tarot-plants-mentalmoods as that is usually the pronunciation for orchid names with similar ending I was leaning towards the same for Kerrii. I appreciate your input and helping clear this up for me. But as you stated, much depends on what region one is in. Hope your week has started marvelously 🌸
