Thanks, me too but it's not that easy to flower here in Western Europe, mostly due to our cold and darker winters. However, I will hang them in the grow tent again this years winter to keep them going. At the moment it's quite cool outside but they can take it for a short period and gives them some natural rest.

Great unboxing video, thanks for sharing. Like the varieties you got. How are they doing now?

Hope they are fine. forgot to take them in this week when we had 2 very cold nights. Normally they can take it. We'll see.

Can you use kelpmax on any and all orchids? Which orchids do you find do well in western Europe? (I live in NL)

Hi, sorry for the late reply. See my video; “IMPORTANT MESSAGE & AN UNEXPECTED UNBOXING” for an explanation.
Since I use KelpMax or a seaweed product, made for plant growth, my orchids seem to respond better and quicker to a repot or mounting. I use it at 1/8 of the recommended strength. I don’t know if all orchids like it but since I mainly grow species and some intergenetic hybrids, all have responded in a positive way, without causing any problems.
I live in northern Belgium and have grown orchids for many years in a home environment. I spring, when night temperatures stay above 10°C, most orchids are moved outside. Either placed in a sheltered or full sun position. They stay there until night temps drop below 10°C again in Autumn.
When the plants grow indoors, the high light ones are under grow lights and warmer growers are kept in a grow tent.
The question of which orchids would do well in the Netherlands, all depends on what growing conditions you have at your disposal. Cattleya hybrids (higher light) or commonly sold hybrids an Phalaenopsis and Dendrobium should do fine. If you’re a novice grower, start with the hybrids, these are more forgiving when you make care mistakes than species will. Vanda’s and alike need high light, high humidity and warm growing conditions that can only be achieved, mostly in greenhouses because of their huge size when mature. However, Vanda falcata (Neofinetia falcata) is a good miniature starter
