I know not why God’s wondrous grace
To me He hath made known,
Nor why, unworthy, Christ in love
Redeemed me for His own.
Refrain:
But “I know Whom I have believed,
And am persuaded that He is able
To keep that which I’ve committed
Unto Him against that day.”
I know not how this saving faith
To me He did impart,
Nor how believing in His Word
Wrought peace within my heart.
I know not how the Spirit moves,
Convincing men of sin,
Revealing Jesus through the Word,
Creating faith in Him.
I know not what of good or ill
May be reserved for me,
Of weary ways or golden days,
Before His face I see.
I know not when my Lord may come,
At night or noonday fair,
Nor if I walk the vale with Him,
Or meet Him in the air.
Thisnsong only appeared about hundred years our fight against greed and cruelty should win and succeed amen
Just beautiful. I love this song. I don't know why God made my wife and I wait 7 years for kids. Then when we had kids, two have special needs. And may never live normal lives and have kids of their own. But I know whom I believe in. And I am persuaded that He will keep that which I committed unto Him until that day!

marvelous. I have a story to relate to this wondrous song, just know that there are many broken by these truthful words. Broken in body, built in spirit into a tool useful for His purposes. May it always be so. Bless you for I am sure I am not able to complete the song without breaking down into a tearful mass.
