      You could FEEL the C7. Sitting in the grandstand at Watkins Glen, with both cars just idling in the pits. That was an awesome car if not for just the theatre.

      @@Wpjgdmtu which is strange since it looks the production version will sound like a 458. I am guessing the exhaust pipes don't merge, although even the previous LT5.5 still sounded good

    As much as I prefer to C7 this looks much more planted & the design looks like it belongs on a track, awesome footage as always!

      the only thing is that it doesnt look like a Corvette anymore. A real bummer for me. It has nothing to do with what Corvette was supposed to be. They could just give it another name.

    Idk why some people don’t like the sound of the C8R. I’ve been to Watkins Glen and Daytona 24 and this vibrations and downshifts sound amazingly aggressive. But I’m sure the c7r rumbles like a proper American thunder

    Chevy needs to make more C8Rs. So few are raced. IMSA and the odd LMS race. This GT3 spec should make them easier to provide to customer teams.

      One of the Chevy guys was speaking during the WEC broadcast and they are certain that they can sell more than 30 customer cars, sounds pretty exciting. I hope we get some in Europe as well and not just the US ^^.

      They will, you just have to wait until 2024. Until then you will only see them in IMSA and WEC.

    I much prefer the new C8 Z06 to older versions (including their sound) but the old C7.R sounds way better then the C8.R

    C6.R is still my favorite. Also I know that thing can rev. But the engine sounds like its barely being wound up.

    Did they change the Eau'rouge somehow? The rise, the steepness of the turn? Or was only the road surface replaced
    It's still not usual to see a mid-engined Corvette. But he's adorable in his own way

      New tarmac and more run-off space. The barriers have been moved much further.
      The corner itself hasn't changed.

      Some drivers said they smoothed the track in that part, there seems to be a bit less compression and it's easier to go flat out.
