I hope I presented facts in an unbiased way. Still, it is my opinion and everyone is free to disagree (in fact, I really welcome critiques, I learn a lot from them).
I know you won't need all the commanders, but it's the way things have been done that, one more time, is very disappointing. I can't help but speak up for the things I believe in.

Wick, you and other content streamers have stated that you do not expect most of these buffs to make these commanders meta. YSG, Aethel, maybe Frederkick, notwithstanding (and one (YSG) is already meta and another (Aethel) has her purpose). So, why should we care if whales purchase these upgrades? Are they actually going to use them in SOC? Most likely not. If that's the case, how is the gap increased? I still think this is a good way for f2p and low-spenders to buff up a few of their commanders. We certainly could not expect f2p to be able to buff all their old commanders, otherwise Lilith would have just buffed them without this museum strategy.

Alot of people are missing the point F2P and new players are the ones who need this yet it will take them longer than it would take P2W to expertise a new commander. How can the gap be closed when they can only build 1cm of bridge a day.

Ya I've spent a lot in game - but not 1 cent in the past 4 months. Once you've got 5 good pairs, it's just greed and obsession causing you to buy more, more, more. Frankly people like chisgule who trivialize spending are so unaware of their own issue's it's painful to witness.
His proclaimatons of how important a bundle/commander is to 'invest' in your account only for it to become irreverent or easy to aquire, just make me sigh. In reality his advice is just another sales pitch under the pathetic halfhearted guise of ensuring 'financially responsibly', whether you realize or not is a choice.

Lilith can't do that, I believe by now the developer team already noticed the fact that most of its newer kingdoms filled with old players instead full of young fresh and innocent players. Lilith won't get much money if they closed migration back to kvk season 2 and 3.

Honestly to play this game just --> Train ur troops and Either 1. Join a RALLY or 2. Defend a STRUCTURE/FLAG only if it's a whale doing it. Else the open field is ruined.
lets be honest - ima F2P and this museum doesnt really matter as much as the possible boosts u probably need are:
Richard - barb chaining
YSG - AOE value
Aethel - for open field - those struggling to get SOC commanders
At this point, we havent even expertised our Gold key coomanders - so museum doesnt really matter as much.
And we can only expertise 2 SOC commanders a year maybe 3. So this museum boosts a bit but its not that deep.
At this point its just the spenders ranting and not the F2P.
Just be happy with what your given and most F2P who has entered SOC will be using Alex,YSG,richard - so only a few boosts we need.
And are we really gonna try using these gold key commander boosts - when we havent got them expertised yet - and its just there at 5511.

4) Minamoto
5) Charles Martel

@@WickGaming yea but of those the only ones that are really noteworthy for f2p are aethrl, Charles and YsG. Even if a f2p could just unlock buffs for YSG he already got most of the value for his commander out of the museum
Let's just be honest, Wick. Lilith has made RIDICULOUS amounts of money from this game; the game might be 90% low / f2p but that's not what drives Lilith's updates of the game. It's the 10% that purchase bundles / crystal tech etc that make Lilith the company it is. So, when something new comes out, of course they're going to pitch it right at the spenders with some half-assed attempt to make it f2p-friendly.
Their business model is not to retain 10,000 f2p players, but instead perhaps entice one or two more people to turn into spenders. Or, attract 2 new whales for every 50 f2p. It's the same reason the new Cav commanders WILL be available in the middle of OL, because it means the spenders go out and spend-big to have an advantage

Imo this isn't actually that bad. I've always believed that spending should be a trade of money for time. That's what this is. The whales that are going to spend and unlock everything really fast aren't going to be using most of these commanders. For the majority of players I feel like they will only need 2-3 of these unlocked anyway.
This is in contrast to crystal tech where, since it disappears after every kvk, there is no amount of "time" that you can invest to make up for the money spent.

I agree. That's why I don't think it's so bad. The main killer in crystal tech is that it's temporary. So, you can never catch up. Ever. So, it's a relentless pressure for people to spend.
This system creates a temporary advantage with the possibility of undoing upgrades if other commanders are eventually buffed.
Newsflash - the game is intentionally designed to get you heavily invested in sunken cost fallacy decision making. Anything the developers do is made to bring in more money at all cost unless players revolt and stop spending.
They always come up with new ways to monetize every game change or "upgrade", which are simply recycled template events with new graphics on them.
It's hard for me to believe they want this game to have longevity. I am convinced they want to grab as much money as they can before they move on to their next mobile game project.
No they won't.. if rok dies, they die. Never again can they replicate this gigantic money printer machine from a game. When it's over they will live the rest of their lives under palms on a beach and laugh about having as more money as possible to spend
None of the buffs from museum seem super prevalent tbh so I don't know if this changes much at all. F2p get ysg and then 1 other commander they like and that's probably all they needed anyways. Whales have SOC commanders which are just better.
Unless someone posts data saying that museum buffs are OP for 3+ commanders then I don't see the issue.

A gap is fine, just that the museum seems to have been meant to support those who have no place to find their place in season of conquest. So it should be more like 2 to 3 commanders for f2p kn average per kvk " AT LEAST"

To be honest, the fact that the buffs are permanent once unlocked makes this more acceptable for me.
And to explain how the gap between high spenders and f2p is not that big of a deal, whales will be able to unlock more of these commander buffs, but they more often then not won’t use them, they will still use the meta commanders, not gold key or kvk 1-3 commanders. This update and the commanders that are buffed is mostly to help lower spenders who’s best bet is these older commander and cannot afford to max every new meta commander that comes to the game .

Yeah I'm with Wick. Whales can get the max a f2p player can get per event in a few days. I get that Lilith has to make money but the keep widening the gap between f2p and spenders. If things keep going the way they are, there's going to be nothing but whales left and when whales have no one to absolutely dominate they'll leave too
@@jjthe did you read my comment? Whales will have no use for 95% of the stuff that is being buffed. Pay to win whales will be using the new meta commanders. Whereas the f2p will use the older commander like from kvk2-3 or gold keys. Rok has always been, and will always be a grind game. Nothing will change now, f2p will get more use out of these buffs but they will still have to grind for it

I don't agree with you. There are commanders that whales still use from pre soc. Particularly, whales that max crystal tech. They will keep adding new commanders to it, obviously, and the more they add the harder it gets for f2p players to catch up
@@WickGaming reality is: f2p coming to SoC will not have enough gear and probably resources to sustaine that many marches... So it reflect their reality. Having more will not help them anymuch. Imo the pace they acquire the coins is relevant to their fighting capability, and they should be suggested to focus SoC commanders anyway. From gold keys if they just enter SoC their gold key commanders will not even be to a decent level... Well advised F2P will not bother anyway.

We're wrong thinking that museum is design to help f2P, is actually made to cater new spender coming out of pre SoC kvk. The idea is to let them buy museum bundle & buff their existing commander so they can compete in SoC kvk while waiting their chance to get and spend for current meta commander
I strongly disagree.
Having 2 new meta compatible commanders for a f2p is huge where adding some toys to a spender with already 14 meta expertise commanders wont really do much.
This will in fact lower the cap between spenders and f2p because the f2p player will have an extra meta march with that 1 - 2 commanders they can get and the spender will just have new choices without a huge power gain on the battle field.
Thankyou Wick! Maybe if Lilith listens to you for once. It would end up benefiting them in the long run. And give the F2P community a reason to exist and enjoy.

This is not so bad for f2p because we can accumulate our time to have bonus from it. Maybe need sometimes but i can accept this.
Crystal technology didn't let us accumulate our time because every kvk it's reset.
Main problems museum is that some commander have so bad bonuses....
TBH this is making me rethink my 5 marches and to try to limit or outright remove/replace some of these in my combinations. Some are inevitable however like YSG cause he's just too damn good.

As someone who doesnt spend much, and spent a long time as pure f2p, and wont buy the daily ones at all I dont mind so much. My reasoning is I, and I dont think many others, will be using too many of these commanders anyway and wont need to unlock them all.
I will be doing Aethel, Charles, and YSG at least and I feel like I would be using more gold key commanders than most players...but I have been playing a while and I might be out of touch.
If you are unlocking all of these commanders you might be a whale/collector and you are likely using better commanders anyway.
Even with this I think the majority of these commanders people wont be using in the first place even if they are buffed.
Now...some things we *dont* know that could change my opinion: How much the price goes up with each unlock and how many other commanders they will add in the future to this that you might actually need to buff.
If they could somehow buff my Khan where he is useful again I would honestly be very tempted to find a way to make that work and recoup those sunk cost sculptures. I would assume the same goes for people with Edward.
I do appreciate they added a way to return commanders back and get your coins (or some of them) to use on other commanders.

Does Museum bonus reset when kvk finishes, like crystal tech?
I have one questions, is this buff available for every event like sunset canyon/lost canyon or only PvP fight?
Could be slower still for p2w. If f2p how many commanders do you think they have ready to buff right away? If f2p can get 3-4 in 3 months does that seem reasonable? I have a hard time imagining f2p needing more than.. 6 ? There needs to be more f2p/low spend mechanics. Do new game mode rewards count towards that? Any other good ways to do it?

If I was a parent I would never suggest this game to my child, the fun thing about a game is skill competition & of course fun.
But this game just show us about greedyness & wealth competition.
This was expected, and not even bad imo. If all the commanders were meta then sure it would be a problem, but they are not. People who would be buying the bundles dont even need these commander buffs. If anything have the bundle very cheap helps low spenders.
Its always the same. They release something new, and p2w get them in few weeks, f2p snd low spender would spend years to get it. And later after its not much relevent, they introduce new ways to get the mat for it.

Honestly, for me I just need Charles Martel and Aethelflad.. And I'm a very low spender.. As long as I'm able to unlock those I should be fine.. We dont need to unlock all the commanders anyways.. Whichever makes sense for us is what we unlock.. I think the mega whales anyways will use better commanders than us anyways, so even if they unlock it there is more chances that they wont be able to use it coz they have better commanders to use it.

They will hardly have a half cao / cm so having one commander unlocked per kvk is pretty decent while p2w have mina/ Barca everything max so they need more ways to buff all these … I see nothing wrong in this event

Interesting does the relic work for the secondary commander
As a conculsion, this is a game that not F2P freindly.
1) F2P will remains F2P. F2p player play years without spending, and they wouldn't spend now.
2) A golden chest commander takes years to max, so I don't thning the boost will help, because no 1 is spending GH on gold chest commander.
3) Small spenders : Small spender will save the money and work on the current commander that is S+ tiers. at least these investemnt can bring joy for months, if not years.
4) Whale : forget about it, they already have all the commander maxed out. (At least the A tiers and above).
Unless is FOC, otherwise this is waste of time. May be a few youtubers / whales will try to unlock all and do the testing.
This is soo bad, they will just keep adding good stuffs and adding bundles, making the gap bigger between p2w and f2p, not telling that p2w is a bad thing, atleast don't do shit like this, bruh boycott purchasing bundles :/

As an FTP player, I appreciate this video and understand your stance! But, realistically whales are not going to be using these old commanders anyway so if they want to spend to unlock all of the commanders that they are not going to use? I guess more power to them?
Its hard to believe that a f2p player has expertised many old commanders and they don t need more that 2 or 3 buffed old commanders . Lilith has mouths to feed also

Even though at the first look it might seem to be more advantageous for p2w (because they will buy the bundles and unlock the buffs sooner) i don't think it makes much more of a difference from a whale stand point. They will NEVER give up on meta pairs (such as Amani/Artemisia, XY/William, Guan/Leo, Pakal/Harald, Zeno, Jadwiga and so on) just because some gold key commanders got some buffs, not that they are not great. The buffs are very good, especially for players that are gonna use those commanders, which are mainly f2p and low spenders, due to the fact they can't compete in MGEs or too many Wheels.
In addition...as a f2p/low spender, you will only gonna use ~3 marches in open field...so you don't actually need to unlock all of them very fast. You can wait 1 KvK to unlock 1 or 2 buffs (except Aethl, who everyone is gonna get anyways) so by the time next KvK's passes are opened, you'll gonna probably have them unlocked.
In conclusion, the update is very good and i'm sure it limits the gap between older players and newer ones. For example, my account is 900 days old, so i have 3 fully expertised marches for open field...i'm gonna struggle to fit the 4th march into the open field cuz of the healing costs (speedups mainly). So...i'm only gonna go with the Aethl buff (cuz i still use her as a 2nd to Trajan) and probably Charles...cuz he's on my wall. I'm not gonna replace him very soon anyway because i don't plan to get rallied (cuz i'll be 0ed in no time anyway) or to lead some garrison. So Charles is the 2nd choice for me. Oh...and YSG probably, cuz he's also on my wall. And that's it. I can wait 1 KvK to get them...i'm in no rush.
The plan is simple...if you only gonna use 1 or 2 of these commanders you dont need to stress about. You'll have them pretty quick. The rest of them are probably easily replaceable by commanders you should always get (Alex, Guan, Trajan, Saladin). You wont be looking at 10% marchspeed and some % attack, trust me.
For sure. However, there is plenty of people entering SOC all the time with approximately 1 year old accounts. F2P/low spenders will usually only have YSG and Aeth maxed at that point. Probably working on Alex and having other gold key commanders at 5-5-x-x. I’m sure they would love to get buffs for Charles/YSG/Aeth/Mehmed etc. at a decent pace and not be behind in that too.
Still a good update since like you said people are still restricted in terms of marches anyway. No need to have all of them unlocked. Just would be nice if the difference in pace wasn’t as big.

Honestly I don't understand why people complain at Lillith so much. The game is great and it's F2P. I've played F2P for a while and managed 750k+ dead per kvk and steadily increased KP per kvk.
We're essentially meeting up for an online LARK battle every few months, with loads of free content. I recently bought a VIP 15 acc (than i can sell once done) for not that much money because i enjoy the game, it's not that much more fun than F2P.
And this update is 100% f2p friendly. It closes the gap between generation 1 and SOC commanders, that's it.
I feel bad for the F2P players who won’t be able to afford the museum rewards but it seems you can still at least focus on 1-2 commanders for buffs by doing the daily challenges. It’s not every commander but most F2P I see in today’s current meta aren’t using 5 marches in the field anyways unless they have been playing for years.
Well... Not what I was hoping for... but, something else to buy during recharge i guess... I cringe at the kraken running around with 7 marches and with many running these additionally buffed commanders... scary... KvK Season 2 anyone?
players that have money and can spend on this will be happy because they will become stronger. f2p like me will hate it. lilith don't care bout f2p.
