It's not just the movies that don't get Scott right. There have been a lot of ups and downs with writers who didn't "get" the character going back to the mid 80s when he abandoned his wife and child for Jean following her return in the original X-Factor. Chris Claremont fought against Jean's return and Scott leaving his family, but lost. He said he and Louise Simonson (who took over writing X-Factor less than a year after it was launched) spent something like 2 years doing the "Inferno" story as a way to redeem his character.
Oh yes... Storm always felt every move the breeze and weather did, and not feeling that anymore is like going deaf or blind, scary indeed
This was a great episode but a chaotic one. Magneto taking over as leader of the X-Men, Storm losing her powers Jean having the baby. In which Logan is freaking out. I feel bad for Gambit after seeing Rogue and Magneto. Magneto speech to UN leaders was great. The highlight the episode. But the twist at the end with another Jean making two is a crazy way to end the episode. Looking forward to you two reaction to episode 3. But anyway I hope the rest of of two day is enjoyable. Out of the dozen or so reactions I've watched, You're the first to mention (what I think is significant) Storm being scared of the thunder. Something she embraced and controlled like we do breathing, and now it's lost to her. Such a minor thing, but such a big impact.
Magneto and Rogue found out they could touch in the comics when they were in the Savage Lands.

Suffice to say Jean has had multiple duplicates.
in the comics the real Jean Grey was replaced by the Phoenix force on the day the X-Men saved some shuttle astronauts from cosmic radiation (like in the last X-Men movie). Jean was flying the shuttle back to Earth while everyone else was in a radiation shelter. As Jean began to expire from radiation poisoning, her determination to save her teammates summoned the Phoenix.
The Phoenix made a deal with Jean to heal her. In exchange for saving her life, the Phoenix would live as Jean by replacing her. The Phoenix also forget that it wasn't Jean and went on to serve on the X-Men squad for a time. Scott, Professor X and none of her teammates ever knew, this was the Phoenix masquerading as Jean. The Phoenix then placed the real Jean in a healing cocoon at the bottom of Jamaica Bay off Long Island where the shuttle crashed.
it was only years later after Phoenix Jean was destroyed, that Scott had met a woman who looked exactly like Jean and fell in love. This lady looked so much like Jean, some of the X-Men almost attacked her on sight thinking that the Phoenix had resurrected her. Shortly after their marriage and the birth of Nathan, the real Jean showed up.

When they showed her as the Queen Mother in Black Panther with that totally grey hair, I was like well dang!!
Gambit and Rogue confessed their love in the Savage land and have been basically a couple, which was like 2yrs ago.
When Rogue was 18 she & Magneto had a brief affair when she was part of the brotherhood of Evil Mutants, because Mystique another memebr is a her adopted mother raising her from 13 on after her father beat her and kicked her out. At 17 Mystique started to send Rogue out on missions and she met the rest of them.
At 18 she permanently absorbed the flight, strength and invulnerability powers of Ms Marvel as well as her consciousness-
Magneto sent for Prof X since he was a telepath and that was when Rogue started on her path to become an Xmen, thats why she said her past was dirty, Ms Marvel stayed in a coma for 10 yrs.
Shes in love with Gambit and has been for a long time but right now cant be with anyone else but Magneto who kinda showed up out of no where
But recently Rogue and Gambit are married in the main canon Uncanny Xmen Series (- which his what the show is based off)
With their own comic called Mr. & Mrs X- its having a really great run.

Storm losing her powers is from the comics. Its in an arc called Life/Death. Very important to her development as a character.
Yep without her powers, Storm still stayed on the squad. Not only that she leaned into her hand to hand combat skills. Sister is nice with a knife!!

That doctor jerk was probably thinking of getting sued by every patient he has for breach of trust, professionally speaking. Technically speaking, I dont think Rogue gets to filter any of the incoming information on contact. That means she knows everything he can remember, not just medicine. Thats a massive liability, legally speaking, and he's gonna get raked over the coals, and thats kinda hilarious.
