- Three of the leading gear/technology companies for both musicians and consumers alike are returning with their successful Metal Masters clinic series. Partnering up with Guitar Center, Metal Masters 4 will take place in New York City on September 7th at The Gramercy. Doors will open at 7:00PM with the clinic starting at 8:00PM. Metal Masters 4 is bringing back some of the classic "Metal Masters" while adding a few new members to the list. As always, fans can expect some surprise appearances and unforgettable performances. Metal Masters 4 will be comprised of Philip Anselmo (Pantera/Down), Kerry King (Slayer), Dave Lombardo (Slayer), Scott Ian (Anthrax), Charlie Benante (Anthrax), Frank Bello (Anthrax) and newly added masters Billy Sheehan and Gary Holt (Exodus/Slayer).

You don't know how disappointing it is to only see strike of the beast one exit sign on here granted all the bands are good but one song from my opinion the torch holders for thrash from metal that are still going to have a new album coming out within 2 months I say Gary Holt is like an animal he he is too thrashing guitar as Dave Lombardo is to thrashing the drums hate me if you want don't give a rat's ass that's my dude don't like it suck it.......

Dave is a beast on the drums. Shit got real when Phil got on stage. The Slayer songs are brutal bad ass with Phil singing them just awesome

1:04:45 Lombardo comes in early after the drum fill and throws everybody off. Kerry catches up just a bit quicker then rest. Phil does a funny "oh well" shrug and goes back to rocking out. Its great to see that even the "masters" mess up and have to play through it.

Phil's voice is f*cking amazing actually , at first He may be suck but once He get the grip His voice is really Heavy and amazing. I don't understand why the hell people dislike His voice...His presence is towering though...
+Calvin C Phil sounds great. You can tell he didn't go overboard drinking before this show. He sounds like he should at his age!! He has done nothing but scream, drink and smoke since the 80's. I have heard him sound terrible, but usually he is hammered. He sounds real good here. He is the best metal front man ever, in my opinion. I saw them probably 5 times and never been so fired up from a front man. He is intense!

It's an industry show and clinic. Everyone there is absorbing every tiny bit of info they can get, watching the musicians. Kind of like when a band plays something brand new at a concert, the arena gets silent because everyone's focussing on the music to the exclusion of everything around them.

This is a pretty wild show, it's very raw and even a bit sloppy sounding at times, but Phil brings out the powerhouse vocals while the other guys are crushing the absolute fuck out of their instruments and it's totally awesome and intense. VERY COOL.
