Excellent video! I learned two key things here if I saw it correctly. Lip pull is a busier action slightly more erratic and the weight placed back further seems to roll a bit more. I generally build baits less than 6" long, recently building some glide baits still smaller size. You have inspired me to build some big baits, thanks for sharing

No lure-maker in his/her right mind would find this video boring! Your willingness to create so many different versions of your 8" and 10" swimbaits confirms your extraordinary dedication to your craft and your attention to detail. I'm sure those weren't lost on a single viewer.
My one regret is that you didn't do a running narrative while you were testing in the hotel pool, as well as a verbal summary at the end of the video. We (the viewers) couldn't really see the very subtle differences in performance that you were observing from the edge of the pool. Hance, it would have been fascinating to HEAR what you were thinking about each version.
Finally, this video was in "real time" not sped up, which was a real blessing. All the other Fretthold videos I've watched have literally dizzied me with their speed. At that rate, I find it difficult or impossible to learn ANYTHING! So, I use the CZcams settings to run them at one-quarter speed, and then I can see, for example, which small carving chisels you use for gill plates and other features. But it would be much better for me and, I feel certain, for your other followers if you'd just SLOW DOWN all your footage! Thanks, Chris

I've been looking for a video telling me what type of action you get from different lips. Thanks for your experiment! Sincerely, from a beginner lurebuilder in Sweden.

Did you notice any difference in the weight placement? You could change the hook size on the rear too since you kinda was keeping it simple. Lol. Glad i came across ur page sir. Good stuff.

How do you get your baits to wobble so much? The ones I make barely have any movement at all. Could you give me some help

It's hard to tell by the initial test but I'm very excited about the 10" baits. They move great and they'll land some giants. Just have to fine tune it. The 8" lip pulls all worked great and similar to one another so they definitely require further testing. I'm sure most of them will do well but I'll narrow it down to a few. I personally like 2 hook baits as opposed to 3 hooks but I may be in the minority.
