great video! some of my favorite intros are the ones that transcend the actual show and become an art piece. the latest for me is Magical Destroyers and its absurdist visuals mixed with the nightcore never got skipped.
I also really love a good tv intro! Something I find neat about the Simpsons intro which you didn’t mention was how they reanimate a few parts of it each time to do different gags (i.e. the chalkboard and the couch). I hardly every skip it so I can see what they did for each particular episode lol
I’m shocked that I didn’t think of that! It’s not common at all, but intros that change every episode are something truly special, and pretty much only found in adult animated shows: Simpsons Chalkboard & Coach Gag, American Dad Newspaper and Roger Costume, Solar Opposites Monologue, etc. Something else I neglected was one of a kind intros relating to the episode, like Weirdmageddon from Gravity Falls. It seems to me like there’s enough ideas for me to make a sequel video!
@@gavint360 You're right! Bob's Burgers also changes around one of the store fronts each episode I believe? The Owl House had variations on the intro for each episode of the final season which was really cool. Phineas and Ferb also created a special intro for night of the living pharmacists. Going back to the simpsons, the treehouse of horror intros are always different (and oddly enough change the format depending on the era of the show?). Wow. There's really a lot to talk about here lmao
Anime on the other hand with intros or Openings that's what their called they are in 3 categories Catchy, memorable and sometimes spoiling what's actually going to happen when you reach that one episode where it actually happens, one of my favorite ops Sword Art Online II Op 1 Ignite, Kill La Kill Op 2 Ambiguous, Kaguya Sama Love is War Season 1 Op Love Dramatic and Spy x Family Op 1 Mixed Nuts
Sampling the footage made me want to binge the whole show really bad, but honestly it's a million times better to watch in a call with friends. We HAVE to do that here soon.

Considering that it took me 12 Hours to make this 12 Minute video... give me 1140 hours or 47 1/2 days.
