This video is like the opposite of what is wrong with bad analogue horror. It's low key, believable, it's actually developed enough to play with an expectation of supernatural instead of mistakenly relying on an audience expectation that there won't be when this stuff has been around for 3-5 years now, it's genre maturation.
An abrupt plane disaster specifically made scarier by the fact that everything is measurably fine right up until the moment suddenly isn't, and there is nothing supernatural about it, and nothing anyone could do about it. Also the thematics of a plane crash, in september, happening in the early 2000s, and sudden feeling unsafeness. Combined with the paranoia of a government cover up that the third video adds. So many analogue horrors are set in the 90s or the 00s just for the aesthetic, this actually feels like it's engaging thematically with when it is set. And the 3rd video the 1964 video does the same thing with the time it's set in, while still getting the importance that the 60s and MKUltra has for 00s conspiracies (and the uncomfortable amount of things that we now know weren't conspiracies from the 60s).
    It's so so good.

On one hand, you're correct. But on the other, it's kinda... boring, if that makes sense. I'm not saying that all Analog horror has to be Alien or eldritch entities, but it's better than... well in my opinion this. It's good. Does what it does well. But I dont watch these kinds of videos for realistic scenarios that can and have happened. I'm trying to be scared by something that _isnt_ an actual danger. Again, it does it well. Just not specifically what I'm searching for. But it does this very well I will admit.

I think what would've made this better is the lack of a 'brace' screen or cabin noise, tell the story through the data instead. Like seeing the airspeed suddenly pick up, finding that the cabin temp is now the same as the outside, seeing the altitude plummet, etc. Scarier in a way.

While I'm unsure of what the cause of the plane crash was, if it was supposed to be some explosion internally. They could have done it on the temp screen with the indoor temp suddenly spiking to like 400 Degrees then it goes down to be the same as the outside. And yeah, cycles back down to the altitude and it's rapidly falling.

I think the thunder sound heard at 2:44 is an engine failure, since it told us this is a Bombardier Dash 8 Q400, a turboprop-powered regional airliner, the plane's propeller may have fallen out and cause the other engine to fail, resulting in a series of 2 thunder sound.
But the plane still displaying information and playing the emergency sound upon impact (3:08) is kinda unusual, if the plane was at a high speed before impact, it is fatal and everything will be crushed instantly, so those things shouldn't be there. (3:09-3:20)
Edit: I saw a comment about a Typhoon, yeah that can also cause the engine to fail.

This past few months I was on two different planes that almost crashed. Sitting there as we begin taking off and when the engines kicked on it sounded like death. I was thinking there no way they’d take off with it sounding like this right? Well they did. 10 minutes in we Started falling due to engine failure and the passengers were told we’d be on The ground in 15 minutes. We were in the air for 45 minutes after that and two more times we began rapidly descending due to engine failure. Got on the next flight an hour later and when it’s engines started on the runway it sounded the fucking same. I said to the guy next to me “there’s no way they’re gonna do it again right? Listen to the engines they sound like they could explode. There’s no way they’re gonna take off right?” And they fucking did. 10 minutes in the air, another engine failure. Unlike the last plane this one had engines to spare after it caught itself from falling and we just kept going. We never had another issue for the rest of the 4 hour flight. It was hard to get on the connecting flight after those two.

On September 28, 2018, the flight, operated by a Boeing 737, landed short of the runway at Chuuk International Airport in Weno (FSM) and came to rest in Chuuk Lagoon. Locals in small boats rescued most passengers and all crew members. One passenger was initially declared missing. Maybe the rumbling sound is the sound of the tower falling or the rubble or something...sorry to anyone who had bad memories brought up. and they also arent at a good airspeed
and that's small for the flight planned since they don't have to conserve fuel
ok they are in a bombardier Dash 8 Q400.
that goes at crusing at 480
they are probabbly touching down really really fast
i actually might think they flew into a cloud and while trying to get out of it (by going down) and riped the plane to shreds by excessive airspeed
That's actually backed by the thunder sounds at 2:40
also there's already water sounds and ambience at the end
so they where over water and fell into it in a matter of seconds
    impact at 2:53.
i can assume we fall into the water at around 2:12 by the tv shorting
    nope logic broken
it should take like 40 seconds
unless they entered a dive right after the alt was displayed
    hm
    or the impact
it's only off by a few second also

Investigation of the wreckage led investigators to believe the cabin depressurized moments after it leveled off to cruising altitude, as parts of wreckage show most of the bolts holding the vertical stabilizer and tail section of the aircraft, including the tail itself was found 2 miles from the crash site.
The flight data recorder has yet to be recovered, as a search of the tail section shows the Black Box appeared to be ripped off as the depressurization took place.

Judging by the Altitude being way too high for the plane to crash into the ground in a couple of seconds, and the outside temperature being -20.
This flight crashed into the Kelly Mountain, probably.

fantastic concept though the ending is very generic. I expected something super natural or at least more terrifying than a simple crash. What if there was a scenario where the plane was pulled into space by something and you see the altitude meter increasing rapidly? Maybe something happens inside the cabin?
Flight recorder audio can be incredibly scary so I think you could work more on that in the future. I also feel that the visual elements were under used in this video, the altitude and speed meters along with other info really adds to the horror if capitalised on.

Before the crash you can here two explosions like thunder in the distance it could be the engines anyway there’s 14-15 seconds where you can here the cabin breached and the passengers screaming, then when the screen is glitching it sounds like you’re underwater so I think there was some kinda submarine that launched a missile at the plan overhead you can hear two small explosions and then a NRRRRRRRRRRRR towards the plane the two explosions could be the rocket combustion and the NRRRRRRRRRRRR is it whizzing towards the plane hence why the hull/cabin was breached maybe it only hit the wing and some of the cabin that’s why everybody didn’t die instantly. Feel free to tell me your thoughts.

  • @michelecastellotti9172

Interesting... there was indeed a loud roar, but this could've also been a plane crashing into it? (Like what happened in italy about 19 years prior at Ustica)
Or maybe a simple thunder or electromagnetic disturbance?
There seemed to have been a loss of power into the engines, but the screen was still operative... hm
