I’m looking for the take up sprockets (the parts that fit into the cassette holes) that get screwed into the hexagonal pulley shaft) on Sansui Direct O-Matic cassette decks (SC-5330, SC-5300, SC-1110 etc.)
Hey I’ve got a question. You mentioned the washers when you pulled the flywheels. When I pulled them 2 little plastic washers came out. Where do they go?
Typically they slide on the flywheel shaft on the front side of the deck. Hard to describe...the service manual should show a diagram indicating where they go.
do you know where to adjust the loudness when in DBX mode? when ever i play a DBX tape is runs it in to clipping. and the UV meter is maxed out. But when in Dolby B and C or off its 100% fine

This left the shop a long time ago. A parts unit would be your best bet.

Sorry but I do not. This was the only D990R I have worked on.
Can I get service manual for head replacement sansui D990r deck
Hifiengine might have it. Otherwise tapeheads.net or audiokarma.org may have some information on replacing the heads.
